Excellent Local Cafe in Marrickville

Wonderful place to have breakfast or brunch, sitting outside or in and watching the world go by. I regularly have a banana smoothie and the salsa eggs at Beejay's. Always consistently wonderful food. I don't drink coffee but have heard it's delicious! My only gripe would be in the pricing... read more

I went here twice with my partner and both experiences were very underwhelming. Honestly a 30/100 for the coffee would be realistic, and the hot chocolates are frothy rather than silky. service was terrible, no one looked happy, and the guy making the coffee looked like he was torn between miserable and irritated. Additionally, my order was screwed up by... More

Still my go-to local cafe here in Marrickville. Delicious food, great value (amazing daily special deals), and staff and management that really care. So here's the thing, when the service is this warm and friendly, if any mistakes with the order are made, it just doesn't matter - as they'd be graciously falling over themselves to fix it! Excellent coffee,... More

I regularly stop here for a takeaway coffee, thought I should try breakfast. It was a terrible experience, food sat on the servery for minutes after the kitchen called the service ...Luke warm .....girl serving was struggling. It's really put me off this quite trendy hip and happening cafe.

We had breakfast here a couple of days ago. This is a busy little cafe/wine bar. The coffee was superb. There are interesting things on the menu. I hade very nice eggs with a chilli salsa. Will definitely be bag. Good service too.

Where do I begin to sing their praises?! I have been here for breakfast/lunch more than any other cafe in Sydney - for so many reasons. To start with the food - so many creative and delicious items on the menu, it's often difficult to choose. From the beef burger (with its cheddar, pickles, mustard etc) - easily one of... More

We came to BJ's to see what the fuss was about - loved the location and venue and the little courtyard was nice. We came on a Friday for dinner and drinks and found the staff friendly, but the menu was a little bit empty and for what we thought was a wine bar found 2 wines of each type... More

We dropped in for dinner on Saturday night. I'd noticed this little wine bar as I had driven past many times but had never been in. I'm very glad we finally did. The welcome was warm, the decor rustic/industrial and quirky (bicycles and old cameras), the background music (a mix of old-school soul and sixties pop) cool and not too... More

My husband , daughter and i went for lunch on Saturday. The food was good but the portion size was bit small for the price. The service was very slow too. We had to ask at least five times for a bottle of water to served. The waitresses told me that they have coffee with Colombian beans. So I ordered... More
