Good food, great service

Ate here one evening with my husband and 2 small children. Great atmosphere, loved the surf design. Service was efficient and friendly. They were happy to accommodate our request to order a children's portion off the specials menu, which some places are not happy to do, and also to split a dessert... read more

Ate here one evening with my husband and 2 small children. Great atmosphere, loved the surf design. Service was efficient and friendly. They were happy to accommodate our request to order a children's portion off the specials menu, which some places are not happy to do, and also to split a dessert between the kids. Went there twice this week with the missus and 4 kids. My youngest (the most fussiest) wanted "cheese" with no fuss what so ever, his wish was granted. Made him very happy. As for the rest of us We had scampi, chips, burgers, BLT and chicken nuggets, crab cakes. The food came freshly prepared and the chips I have to... More

We visited this restaurant having been turned away by another restaurant who were fully booked. However with hindsight it was a blessing in disguise. This is a lovely restaurant with good ambience although the menu on reading does not do the restaurant justice. A lot of the food is home nade/cooked and this was obvious from the quality of the food.... More

We visited for mid week lunch, it was less busy than expected. The food is average cafe food. Mostly fried pub grub type food, which tasted perfectly ok (if a bit luke warm), just nothing special. At £9.50 per main it was adequate for the location and taste. Service was friendly. The location is right at the junction that cars... More

A late review but a well earned review none the less. We stumbled across this little gem of a place after a walk on the beach. We were gasping of thirst and hungry. We were met by a lovely man who sat us in the sunshine and bought us cold beer in beautiful iced glasses. We ordered our lunch and... More

Very friendly staff (and the place was very busy) - good food and wine, happy atmosphere. Recommend booking at the weekends.

They were flat out busy when we arrived but they made time to welcome us and made us space for our cosy wait in the snug. We were advised food would take a while due to being so busy but they ensured our hungry children were served without too much delay which was a really thoughtful consideration. Really nice food,...
