At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather. The original facade of the converted post office is integrated beautifully with the modern decor inside. Leather booths and chandeliers on the staircase are just some of the features used to pull some of Surbiton’s swankiness inside. And as it was the home of Rupert Bear’s creator, Alfred Bestall, we just couldn’t resist a subtle nod the bear himself here and there.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

Bit of a shame...

Visited on a Monday evening - booked online and was happy to be seated at a nice table. Was a belated Mother's Day meal with my daughter her partner and my mum. Could not fault the food but service was soooooo slow! Table was booked for 7pm and we were still waiting for our starter an hour later... read more

I know that Zizi's isn't exactly the height of fine dining but I have had some nice meals in a few of them over the years however the surbiton Zizi's has been consistently bad every time I have been over the last year or two. Terrible incompetent service, long waits even when it isn't busy, wrong food/drinks arriving at the... More

Service was non existent. Waited ages between courses for plates to be cleared and next course to arrive, had to seek out waiters to ask for more to drink when you were just left deserted. The management at this branch of Zizzis seriously needs to increase their staff so they can cope with all the patrons and offer basic service.

Believe it or not, the first time my wife and I visited, we were told that they had run out of pizza dough, so no pizzas! We then revisited a month later and there was a child at a nearby table being potty trained by his parents in full view of other diners and the staff refused to step in.... More

We came to zizzi's quite a lot in 2014 and the menu now is incredibly boring and the food is nothing special. The staff are polite but the menu and the food on offer is a real let down. The restaurant does not have a warm feel about it and the chairs are very uncomfortable.

We visited here on a Wednesday evening and it was less than half full. Our initial order was taken quickly, however when our boys' starters arrived my younger son was less than impressed to discover that although the menu said "dough sticks" he had been given a solitary stick. We eventually got hold of a waitress who then seemed to... More

Came here for my sons 30th birthday dinner .And wasn't disappointed. It was my first time her and liked it very much. Menu was good and the prices were a little high but the place was clean bright and the staff excellent. We will be coming but even my husband liked it. I think that was because it was a... More

Ridiculously overpriced food for the portions you get. the food wasn't all bad - the starter (calamari) was poor, the main (ravioli) was very nice but wouldn't have fed a sparrow, and the banana and chocolate calzone was amazing but again far too small for the price. Not bad food but slow service (although staff were friendly) and the smallest... More

This (chain) restaurant is situated on Victoria Road - the main artery through downtown Surbiton. I went there this evening (Friday) with one of my pals; we were both delighted with the food that we ordered. It was as well that we had booked as the establishment was full to the brim and it's a large restaurant. The atmosphere was... More

This Zizzis used to be ok, but last time we went in we both ordered pasta dishes, Mine came covered in what look like half chewed tomatoes (tomatoes were not mentioned on the menu, if they were I wouldn’t have ordered them) Both meals were bland and swimming in oil. I think I managed 3 bites and then gave up.... More
