At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather. The original facade of the converted post office is integrated beautifully with the modern decor inside. Leather booths and chandeliers on the staircase are just some of the features used to pull some of Surbiton’s swankiness inside. And as it was the home of Rupert Bear’s creator, Alfred Bestall, we just couldn’t resist a subtle nod the bear himself here and there.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

I've tried this place a few times now and I'm yet to be convinced why it is a successful chain. I think that's probably the issue is that the Zizzi chain does not seem to teach anything to it's staff or management about creating a nice atmosphere for a restaurant or somewhere that people would actually want to be. I've... More

At this Zizzi the service level at lunch time is very poor. Over the last few months, on four occasions I have noticed that there are only two staff covering the whole restaurant and every time you need to speak to a waiter you have to try and find them. Food quality is OK but again it takes long time... More

A friend of ours booked a table to go to Zizzi for a meal, there was a group of about 8 of us and midweek. To put this review into some context I once turned up at a hotel in India surrounded by an illegal fishing operation and with a swimming pool with only 1ft of brown water in, even... More

I have always found Zizzi's better than Pizza Express. There menu caters for most tastes and the restaurant is well designed inside an old Post Office. There is usually good offers from voucher sites, but the food and drink is reasonably priced.

Three of us went to Zizzi for lunch on Saturday. It was pretty much empty so we expected a quick and efficient service. Nothing could be further from the truth. I ordered salad - after quite a delay the wrong salad arrived. The correct salad of chicken and prosciutto finally arrived - but with no chicken. My wife ordered a... More

All round, great family restaurant. Good service, lots of variety with a number of healthy options. Served by Kerryn and she was fantastic.

Lured by the promise of 30% off all main courses, my wife and I chose to eat here rather than at other local restaurants we know and trust. The first warning should have been when we stood inside the door for at least 10 minutes, waiting for someone to pay us any attention. It's not even as though it were... More

We had phenomenal customer service from David. Extraordinary for a chain (in my experience)! He was so attentive and genuinely wanted us to have a good experience (which we did).   This transformed what would otherwise have been an unexceptional experience into an exceptional one. The food was good (for a chain) and it was pretty good value for money... More

Have always enjoyed the food here but such a shame the service lets it down. Waited over 15 minutes after being seated to have our drink order taken and that was only because we asked if we could order. Ended up ordering our food at the same time just so we werent left waiting again!! Once food and drink arrived... More
