At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather. The original facade of the converted post office is integrated beautifully with the modern decor inside. Leather booths and chandeliers on the staircase are just some of the features used to pull some of Surbiton’s swankiness inside. And as it was the home of Rupert Bear’s creator, Alfred Bestall, we just couldn’t resist a subtle nod the bear himself here and there.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

Ridiculously overpriced food for the portions you get. the food wasn't all bad - the starter (calamari) was poor, the main (ravioli) was very nice but wouldn't have fed a sparrow, and the banana and chocolate calzone was amazing but again far too small for the price. Not bad food but slow service (although staff were friendly) and the smallest... More

This (chain) restaurant is situated on Victoria Road - the main artery through downtown Surbiton. I went there this evening (Friday) with one of my pals; we were both delighted with the food that we ordered. It was as well that we had booked as the establishment was full to the brim and it's a large restaurant. The atmosphere was... More

This Zizzis used to be ok, but last time we went in we both ordered pasta dishes, Mine came covered in what look like half chewed tomatoes (tomatoes were not mentioned on the menu, if they were I wouldn’t have ordered them) Both meals were bland and swimming in oil. I think I managed 3 bites and then gave up.... More

Ronseal Italian. Slightly above average food, reasonable if unsurprising service and above all extremely generic surroundings. Attracts parents with toddlers. On the high street. Convient. Hooray.

Booked a table for a group of 8 friends and don't think any of us were left with a good impression. Two of our party were already at our table when we arrived and shortly after we had joined them their pre-dinner drinks arrived. The waitress serving them neglected to ask if us recent arrivals would like a drink. Although... More

Visited Zizzi on a Friday evening. It is located in a lovely building which used to be a post office in Surbiton. Quite busy and the menu was the typical found in the chain. We were told that there were no pizzas - I am not sure why - which is surprising considering the menu. Nevertheless, what we ordered was... More

Spent the evening here with our family, food was excellent, very attentive staff, were very happy for us to take our granddaughter of seven, and provided her with puzzles etc to keep her entertained. Have never been disappointed at a Zizzi's restaurant.

Decent place, I'v been here twice, the trouble with this place is getting your bill and paying for your meal. They take a minimum of half an hour to get your bill and another 10 minutes to settle it. Sad, because it is a decent place for food and the ambience.
