Duke of York used to be a place where me and my wife would always start our Friday evening, with Fish & Chips and some beers. The waiters were great and it had a very cosy and friendly atomosphere. The food is still good but there is no more service. The last time we went one of the waitresses finally... More

I start this review by saying its was brilliant, food was great and a different menu compared to typical pubs. I had a "Dirty Burger" and it was stunning and huge, so full from eating that. My friend had some Jerk style pork ribs, she said they were great and a tad spicy. We took up the offer on wine... More

WOW what a difference, I think it must be under new management. My wife and I used to pop in here very occasionally on the way home from work. We always thought it would make a nice pub if it wasn't for the sullen, lazy staff. I am happy to say all that has changed and the staff are helpful and... More

Came in just on the off chance late afternoon! Had the pulled pork wrap (very yummy) with chips! Along with a bottled cider I payed around £15. So yes maybe a little on the expensive side but also good quality! Would visit again if I was in the area!

I think the pub changed a lot recently, as I used to loved the food there. They got a new menu now and everything got so expensive and pretentious that I couldn't believe it. I think whoever manages it now thinks it is based in the middle of Mayfair, glass of cheapest wine is almost £8. And the average meal... More

Been in here a couple of times over the years but went here last night with my boyfriend for a meal and how it has changed!! I think it is under new management- what an amazing difference that can make. . Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly.. Great new selection of drinks (especially the wine). Looking forward... More

Shocked to pay over £17 for two (albeit large) glasses of a Sauvignon blanc. I eat out very often and know all too well the average price of wine. This was ridiculous. Didn't stay for food. Won't return. Staff pleasant but very slow and not enough of them. We shan't return.

Everything about this place was good. A fine selection of ales, very good food, clean toilets and fantastically engaging staff. Couldn't have been happier!

After going to the Duke of York for a drink, we found this pub to be very expensive for what it offers (came to around £12 for 2 drinks!!). Staff were friendly, but I will not be going again due to the over pricing!
