Popped in for a quick lunch

Came in just on the off chance late afternoon! Had the pulled pork wrap (very yummy) with chips! Along with a bottled cider I payed around £15. So yes maybe a little on the expensive side but also good quality! Would visit again if I was in the area!

I think the pub changed a lot recently, as I used to loved the food there. They got a new menu now and everything got so expensive and pretentious that I couldn't believe it. I think whoever manages it now thinks it is based in the middle of Mayfair, glass of cheapest wine is almost £8. And the average meal... More

Been in here a couple of times over the years but went here last night with my boyfriend for a meal and how it has changed!! I think it is under new management- what an amazing difference that can make. . Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly.. Great new selection of drinks (especially the wine). Looking forward... More

Shocked to pay over £17 for two (albeit large) glasses of a Sauvignon blanc. I eat out very often and know all too well the average price of wine. This was ridiculous. Didn't stay for food. Won't return. Staff pleasant but very slow and not enough of them. We shan't return.

Everything about this place was good. A fine selection of ales, very good food, clean toilets and fantastically engaging staff. Couldn't have been happier!

After going to the Duke of York for a drink, we found this pub to be very expensive for what it offers (came to around £12 for 2 drinks!!). Staff were friendly, but I will not be going again due to the over pricing!

Visited today for Sunday lunch, I think pub under new management as new menu and new staff. Previously let down by terrible customer service, today was such a difference. Good value and substantial meal and excellent service provided by Wendy. Thank you!!!

Awful food. Comes out cold, microwaved to heat it back up to a normal serving temperature. Will not eat here again!

As we had no service we had time to look at the new decorations. Looked like a work in progress. After a wait of 45mins my niece went to the bar to get service. The bar lady was very pleasant but with no experience. She was also expected to wait tables and serve the meals and do any other job... More

We were a party of 12 sat at a table we reserved. The pub was not busy yet we sat there for over half an hour with our menus before having to get the attention of one of the staff. The staff were pleasant yet inexperienced. The food eventually came and most of us were disappointed. The deep fried chicken... More
