Visited with family and the atmosphere was excellent, with that 'buzz' you always hope for in a restaurant. Courses eaten included haggis, black pudding with poached egg, pate and prawn cocktail (as starters). Everything was well commented upon and served in a timely manner. Main courses included Salmon, Chicken Darroch, Fillet and Sirloin steaks. Exceptionally well cooked and showed skill... More

Dining here regularly with friends, family & as a couple is always a delight! Staff are welcoming, cheery & helpful throughout. Nothing is too much trouble, even our sometimes boisterous toddler I am sure we have pretty much tried the whole menu & have never been disapointed by Presentation, Quality & certainly not Taste. Portion sizes have been reviewed so... More

Visited here with some friends on Sunday evening, our welcome was ok as we were shown to our table and a drinks order was taken quite quickly, although the wait for the drinks was a tad long..ten minutes for 4 cokes and a pint (which had been poured into a warm glass so was flat when it arrived) starters were... We have been enjoying dining at Longniddry Inn regularly for some time and always thoroughly enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere. The exceptionally helpful, efficient and attentive staff cannot do enough for you. On our latest visit my granddaughter had sirloin steak, which she thoroughly enjoyed and my husband and I had a chicken tikka curry. How we wish they... More

Have used this restaurant for both work and pleasure. The food is always very good. Advisable to book on evenings and weekends as this is a popular restaurant. it is only about 20 minutes from Edinburgh down the Coast heading for North Berwick. Well worth a visit.

When arriving at the Longniddry Inn for a meal with my chidren I overheard one of the waitresses who was standing at the black doors of the building shouting a foul mouthed remark at a passer by. The chefs who were standing beside the female just put their heads down! I have to say I am shocked that this calibre... More

Have heard good reports over the years about this place. Went for the first time last night. It was very average pub food. Staff were slow and not very happy looking. We all had something different, two from main menu and one from specials. All failed to impress. Sad side salads and loads of chips. Not expensive but not good... More

Went awa on holiday to a nearby caravan park, and one day we decided to jump in the car and have a run around all the small towns and villages in the area. We came across Longniddry and found the Longniddry inn. Our group (6 of us) by this stage was very hungry, after all the driving and decided to... More

Having eaten here many times over the years and usually enjoyed it I cannot say the same for our meal recently. Garlic bread starter for my girls was wolfed down. Their main came with luke warm chips but tasty chicken. My "special" of oven baked lemon sole with beurre sauce and king prawns was terrible. The fish was in batter... More
