Please do not go to the castle to eat or drink regretfully and with great sadness the castle caught fire a few weeks ago and sustained bad damages hope it will not be to long before it reopens

When we are travelling around on holiday we like to local pubs and have a meal, on this occasion we popped in to The Castle Inn what a pretty village also a fantastic pub. The atmosphere was great and the food absolutely fabulous this was our fist visit and we was very impressed. We hope to return very soon.

Called in for lunch today for the first time for a journey break and thoroughly enjoyed a very simple meal. Mine was ham egg & chips, well cooked and presented, two eggs, loads of good quality ham and a large portion of freshly cooked crispy chunky chips, delicious. My husband had a ham and cheese baguette, presented with a lovely... More

Popped into the Castle at West Coker one evening with a friend for an evening meal. This is a lovely old pub with a thatched roof. Meals were good but just a bit on the pricey side although they had a good deal on steaks that night. Most meals start at around £12 in the evenings. I loved the atmosphere... More

Called in to The Castle pub one sunny lunchtime after getting lost (!) coming back from Weymouth to Bristol in late April. So glad we did as the cider was perfect! The landlord & kitchen agreed to make us two ploughman's lunches although it was not on the menu. It was by far the best ploughmans lunch we have ever... More

Four or five choices marked on a board were available, all priced at £6 per dish. A customer ordering before us was put out by this for there... More

We hired the function room for my Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Tastefully decorated and ideal for 30+ people of varying ages for a buffet. The food and service was incredible. We were treated very well. Nothing was too much trouble. The price was extremely good and all in all everything was wonderful. I can't thank them enough for... More
