Despite many bad ratings we wanted to get our own impression: went there monday evening around 6.45 pm. There where only guests at 2tables. Right After we sat down the waitress came for our drinks (okay welcoming guests looks diffrent). Right after our drinks the owner came and asked us in which language he should tell us the Menue. Then... More

This place is a tourist trap. there is no menu so they charge you according to what they feel they can. we thought this is not a problem due to the low key appearance of the restaurant, but we were very surprised to be confronted with a bill of $24 each for a main course with soft drink. chicken and... Really original restaurant. Looks like a flee market inside! There is no written menu. The owner sits down with you and tells you what you can order. We tried the goat stew and, of course, the iguana stew. Both where quite nice. However, we did not go there to eat the most delicious food in the world, but to enjoy... More

Great local food but expensive for what it is. We paid $70 for LUNCH for two: 2 appetizers, 2 entrees. No alcohol.

Let's face it, we love where we eat for the ambiance as much the food... This place has it. Jaanchie personally comes to your table and tells you what's cooking today. Tropical birds twitter as you wait for one of the many fish of the day. I wasn't personally in awe of my tuna steak and red snapper... But I... More

If you are making the drive out to the West point of Curacao, this is a must stop. Don't expect a luxury restaurant, but do expect great food. There are no menu's but Jaanchi will pull up a chair and with a flair of his own, is the menu, as he describes the dishes available. The group of 6 had... More

This resturant is one place you want to see. My wife and I stopped in one day after diving and ate there. We had seafood of coarse and were not disappointed. Then while waiting for our wonderful meal the birds were fed sugar. They went crazy. The owner himself brought the verbal menu and as we left gave my wife... More

I recommend everybody who goes to Westpoint to dine at Jaanchies. It is not a luxury restaurant, but it is one of the nicest local places with special local dishes and Jaanchi himself is a master in adding local flavour. Here you feel you are in Curaçao. This is a special place, all the decorations, the yellow sugar thieves, Jaanchi's... More

We were out for a drive in the west end of the island and heard this was a good place to stop. It exceeded our expectations. The food was very good, we had the two dishes and also had the iguana. It was the first time trying that I we loved it. I would highly recommend going. As we were... More

I have to confess that I'm writing my review without even eating there. That's because I really find it disturbing that this restaurant's workers come and slaughter the nearby Marazul Dives Resort iguanas. Iguanas are protected by law and the ones these villains are killing really trust people. Iguanas are being fed at the resort and that is what is... More
