Good local food.

Good local food - fried fish with rice or polenta. You can also try Iguana stew but very boney - if youu must ask for a sample.

This is a local restaurant with no frills but tasty food and drinks at a reasonable price. Located near Knepa Beach. The manager will come to your table and explain the menu and the day's special. There are several bird feeders outside the restaurant which attract many colorful birds.

The only good thing about this restaurant are the birds. We spent a torturous two hours waiting for a simple lunch that, at best, was mediocre. The wait staff is so slow that we had to refill our own water glasses! While the "walking menu" is a nice touch, please be aware that prices are not given. When you get... More

No written menu, this guy can charge you whatever he wants and will! Food was average at best, be ready to wait and feel unwelcome, oh well, live and learn.

We had the iguana stew and the goat stew. Both delicious! Iguana reminded us a bit of rabbit. Careful of the bones, but very tasty! The meals included red rice and beans, and a small salad, then a small scoop of ice cream after the meal

I understand this restaurant is on many websites and guidebooks as the place to come - usually recommended to eat the iguana. Perhaps it was good in the past, but this guy has now taken advantage of his reputation. The restaurant is now a victim of its success. We were warned by the people working at the car rental agency... More

I loved this restaurant. There's something incredibly personal about it, the menu isn't written down, the owner comes over... takes a seat and tells you what you can order. Iguana stew, incidentally is definitely worth trying - don't be scared of it. One of the absolute highlights of this restaurants is that there are birds everywhere. Beautiful and brightly coloured... One of the most unique restaurants we've been to. Open air atmosphere, lots of birds chirping (and flying into the restaurant from time to time). No set menu, Jaanchie told what was available that day and helped us decide on something. Tried the iguana soup, tasted like chicken, but VERY boney. Interesting billing, have a feeling there are no set... More

When there is no menu and no mention of price that should get alarm bells ringing. We had the iguana, grouper and goat stew. Lets just say the food was poor and very overpriced and nothing like the quality of what we had had in Willemstad!

There is a reason there are so many cars parked outside this cute red restaurant out in the middle of nowhere 25 miles west of town. We stopped here by chance while exploring the island on a day trip and were pleasantly surprized. Mr Jaancie was charming, the food was great and the restaurant was full of international diners. We... More
