It's a great place to stop and rest while your other half shops but I always make a point of stopping here. The coffee is great and macaroons are probably best in area. Some very interesting desserts available and the chocolatier area offers tasty bits. The service is quick and efficient. Worth the visit.

I've always admired Myatt's coffee shop from a distance and finallj had the opportunity to visit this morning for brunch. Little did I know, I should have eaten before hand! My friend and I found a table and sat down. A few minutes went by and we hadn't been helped or given menus, so I got up to scout for... More

Set in a semi enclosed triangular walled design in the V&A waterfront. This is a popular breakfast and tea spot. They specialise in macarons and an array of speciality teas. I has the blooming tea which is a Chinese flower which blossoms in hot water which is served in beautiful china. There seems to be only 1 or 2 waitresses... More

My mom and I have been going to Myatt for a while now. I fell in love with them the moment I saw they had a macaroon menu – too delicious for words! They also do a proper english tea, server in the most beautiful cups and saucers and a tea pot that doesn’t spill. For any tea drinking these... More

Went and sat down. A few waiters/hosts looked at us but no assistance. Thought they might be busy and gave it a few more minutes, still no service/smile or just a we will be with you shortly. I asked a waitress for assistance, she told another lady to help us, who sighed and then proceeded on past us and ignored... More

Afternoon teas in Cape Town are, in my experience, rather pricey affairs but always a whole lot of fun because you can linger over your tea-cups and scones. We were there for the R150pp tea & were very impressed with the selection of eats (scones seemed homemade, fruit tart pastry a bit thick but otherwise good, sandwiches, as always, a... More

I work at the restaurant and always go to buy some coffee. This place is only for delicacies and coffee/tea. I've had their lunch foods once and they were just too shockingly small portioned at insanely high prices. I don't think I can ever be full on that! Do not go hungry. Besides that, this place is the best place... More

Just ordered the hamburgers for my daughter. Probably the worst I have ever had. I don't even think it was real beef. My daughter refused to eat it. Waitress and manager still had the audacity to argue with me. My wife ordered the scone which was very dry. Service was pretty bad too. Just avoid.

we found this place by chance, when shopping in the V and A, the service is excellent, and the teas came in lovely china teapots, and the cake were to die for, and the service was very friendly
