Had 3 courses and all were excellent, from the chickpea patties to start, spicy Mexican mole main and coconut pudding with stewed rhubarb, all was delicious. I'm veggie but my parents eat meat and we all really enjoyed it and will be back again soon. Lovely friendly service too. Can't fault it.

I often resolve to write a review of a restaurant I visit... and then forget, or don't have time. But I felt it would be an injustice to Cafe Roya not to record the quality of this place. On a weekend family trip from Kent, we'd had to book an early table on an otherwise booked-out Saturday evening. Right from... More

Beautiful ambiance, warm and friendly staff, gorgeous food! This restaurant is absolutely divine, and the menu changes every month - keeping things fresh and exciting for newbies and regulars alike. There is also great selection of wines and local ales. A sophisticated yet cosy and inviting atmosphere this is hands down the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I have ever been too.... More

Made my first visit here after months of intrigue reading glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Maybe my expectations were raised by the quantity of excellent reviews, but I felt whilst the service was very warm and friendly, the food itself was nothing to write about.

My wife and I stayed in Nottingham for a couple of nights and one of the best things we did was to drive 3 or 4 miles to Cafe Roya in Beeston Parking nearby was easy. We are glad that we booked a week or two ahead otherwise we would not have got a table. The restaurant is deservedly very... More

If you are into good quality vegetarian/vegan/gf food then this place is stunning. The stew-soup with sourdough was outstanding. The smile on a dear one's face whilst tucking into choccy & banana spring rolls was only beaten by the fact that two of us had that pudding. My own was rose & pistachio rice pudding. The measures were portions true... More

Roya's menu changes monthly which pleases my parents as it means I will keep visiting home at least once a month, despite having moved to London. I'm not really veggie and neither of my parents are but we keep coming back to the lovely Roya for its fantastic food, atmosphere and decor. I've been three times and am now planning... More
