My 18 year old daughter finished her A levels recently, I took her to cafe Roya to celebrate as she's vegetarian. The meal was delicious and the service was great. It was great that my daughter could eat everything on the menu, usually she's limited to a few items at a standard restaurant. I eat meat but didn't miss it... More

Cafe Roya is a vegetarian restaurant that appeals to meat eaters as well!!!!! The care and attention that goes into the menu is wonderful. The drinks menu is exclusive and organic but again Roya would not serve anything that does not come up to her standards. The pink fizz is particularly good. The restaurant itself is eclectic and quirky but... More

A lovely atmosphere, intimate but not overbearing, a really nice experience had here on the two occasions I have eaten here. The food is feeling and feels very healthy, as does the desserts - the sweet potato brownie was lovely :) I would recommend this place to vegetarians and non-veggies alike. The staff are attentive but, again, not overbearing. Really... More

I've been to Roya several times now, and each time the food has been great. The dishes are unusual (especially if you're a sworn carnivore like me!) but super tasty. The atmosphere is really varied across the restaurant. Downstairs feels better for group dining, while upstairs has a more intimate feel. One one visit we brought our 6 month old... More

The staff at Cafe Roya were so friendly and helpful with giving us vegan options. The food was astonishing. Beautifully presented, imaginative dishes and very, very tasty. It was all very healthy and good value for money. My veggie friends had told me how great Cafe Roya was and it lived up to the hype. I look forward to going... More

This is our first visit to Cafe Roya although I'm sure it won't be our last. We live the other side of Nottingham so if it hadn't have been for the reviews on Trip Advisor whilst looking for somewhere different to take my veggie husband for his birthday treat, it's unlikely we'd have discovered this place. I'm very glad we... More

I recently returned to Cafe Roya with two friends for one of their birthdays. The birthday girl is a vegetarian and we knew that this place would bring their A game as we had been once before. From a meat-eater's point of view, this place is still excellent! You do not miss the meat being absent because the fantastic range... More

I managed to book for the guest chef's tasting menu on midsummer night and had a magical experience! The food was superb!! Cafe Roya has not disappointed on my two previous visits but the menu and presentation this time completely delight us, and, from the appreciative noises, other diners too! Each course was fresh, beautifully presented, and, most importantly, tasted... More

This was my third visit to Cafe Roya and it has been great every time. The food is delicious and has obviously had a lot of care and thought put into it. I thought the 'fishless' fish cakes were particularly ingenious but the Persian main course and popcorn pudding were also really tasty. My partner has an allergy to tomatoes... More
