Had a lovely dining experience at this establishment. The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely be going back.

Food clearly made with love & imagination. The gluten free options are superb! Pleae don't go there expecting your food within 10 minutes of ordering this is a small independent place & everything is freshly made so it takes time. This was the second time when I have eaten here I have overheard another table moaning at the waiting staff.... More

Our second visit to Café Roya had us waiting for 45 minutes for each course - the staff did apologise after serving our starter, but we then had to wait just as long for the main. This might have been OK if we had not been quite hungry (but who eats out when not hungry?) - but this amount of... More

Three of us ( one with severe food allergy) went one hot evening. Did we miss meat or fish? NO! One of us had the "fish less fish cake" . Wasnt at all fishy im pleased to say. Two of us had the Thali. Enjoyed indonesian salad too. All the unusual flavours tickled our palates positively. The chef came to... More

We've eaten here twice now, once as a couple and once with friends and both times the food has been amazing. We were lucky enough to meet the chef on the last trip, she's a very talented lady! Not only is the food good, but the atmosphere is nice and friendly staff too. Even my meat eater friends loved it!... More

I've just hit four years of not smoking and my wife took me here to celebrate my returning taste-buds. Wonderful food and great service. The place is on a main road but you wouldn't know it while dining. It was a bit quiet but we were there midweek; book early if you want a weekend table.

After my 3rd visit to Cafe Roya I feel compelled to write a review as it truly is an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious and brilliantly displays how vegetarian cooking can be tasty, imaginative and satisfying. The decor and ambience in the restaurant is lovely and very special indeed. Beeston is very lucky to have Cafe Roya.

If you live anywhere in the Nottingham area, it's definitely worth a visit. Cafe Roya is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've been to. While I'm not vegetarian myself, I'm perfectly happy to eat there as the food is so good. The interior is dark (in a cosy way) and stylish. The staff always friendly and happy. The menu,... More

As a vegetarian it is great to be able to choose ANYTHING from the menu! I was with a pescatarian and a carnivore. We all loved the food. Excellent menu meant we all ordered separate dishes and shared everything! The food was well presented and turned out be as delicious as it looked. The staff were excellent - friendly and... More

Visited with some friends from work, chose here because of its reputation for good food and because we are an awkward bunch - a mix of vegetarian and or gluten free and or lactose free. All dishes are vegetarian but those that can also be vegan or gluten free are identified on the menu and there was plenty of choice.... More
