I was initially quite skeptical about an exclusively vegetarian restaurant. However, the food was very good and the service very friendly. I would happily go again

My friend and I had a meal here a few evenings ago. She eats meat and I don't. We were blown away! The food was the best I'd had in a vegetarian restaurant. My friend also loved it. So tasty and after two courses very full. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very nice. Perfect... More

The menu veers wildly from cuisine to cuisine, in only a handful of choices you have Malaysian, Ethiopian, Spanish, Greek, British and more! It doesn't lead to the most natural progression of flavours but I enjoyed some interesting dishes rounded off by a good traditional apple crumble. What this place gives vegetarians most of all is choice, something they rarely... More

I have enjoyed meals at Roya's caff several times since she opened and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. I even convinced a committed 'meat and 2 veg' friend to come along one evening. Comment? "I didn't know vegetarian food could taste so good. And I was the only one out of the... More

Had a lovely dining experience at this establishment. The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely be going back.

Food clearly made with love & imagination. The gluten free options are superb! Pleae don't go there expecting your food within 10 minutes of ordering this is a small independent place & everything is freshly made so it takes time. This was the second time when I have eaten here I have overheard another table moaning at the waiting staff.... More

Our second visit to Café Roya had us waiting for 45 minutes for each course - the staff did apologise after serving our starter, but we then had to wait just as long for the main. This might have been OK if we had not been quite hungry (but who eats out when not hungry?) - but this amount of... More

Three of us ( one with severe food allergy) went one hot evening. Did we miss meat or fish? NO! One of us had the "fish less fish cake" . Wasnt at all fishy im pleased to say. Two of us had the Thali. Enjoyed indonesian salad too. All the unusual flavours tickled our palates positively. The chef came to... More
