Great lunchtime menu!

I would certainly echo the other reviewers' comments on a 'warm, friendly welcome', as that was certainly what we received on calling in to the Red Lion for lunch recently. They had a great lunchtime menu, with 2 courses for £10 - an absolute bargain, and equally as good as a pub lunch I had had... read more

Roast rump of Kentish lamb sounds inviting, not so,it turned out to be 3 very fat and gristly undercooked lamb chops containing a minute portion of meat.Very unpalatable and at almost £16 each we were very disappointed.Never again!

An absolute find! We were celebrating my parent's 40th wedding anniversary and were thrilled with our choice. Service was impeccable, the food and drink were fabulous and our hosts were particularly friendly and welcoming. All in all, a 10 out of 10 in every way. Thank you! Took my wife and three year old for lunch as recommended by a friend! Lovely garden and nice children's play area! Polite young lady took our order and off we went in the garden with our drinks next to the play area so we could keep an eye on him as he played! Whilst we sat in this lovely setting... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night at the Red Lion - steak night. A table for 15 and everyone very happy with their steak, lovely chips, salad, mushrooms. Best steak I've had in a long time everyone said and of course served with the usual warm Red Lion welcome and we were beautifully looked after. So thrilled to show off... More

We are residents and have been regulars at this nice pub. Usually it is friendly, and the food is decent. However, the Saturday evening menu seems limited suddenly and despite the restaurant being far from full we waited 55 mins for our food after ordering. Rene, the jovial landlord, was not about on that evening and this may have been... More

I have recently moved to Bridge, Kent and it's a beautiful place. Bridge has 3 public houses and by far the Red Lion Inn is my favourite. All the staff and owners are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. The food is to a high standard and its perfect for couples, family's or even 1st dates.... More

Always a warm welcome, friendly bar staff that offer a great service. They welcome kids in their big garden and play area. Food is varied and good value.

I visited here on a Saturday with my boyfriend and his godmother, who is a regular here. I emailed them beforehand to check whether they can cater for gluten-free but they didn't get back to me, so I was a bit worried. However, I could see many naturally gluten-free possibilities on the menu. The waitress was helpful and said that... More

The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back so take your time. Be was our waitress and she was bright and well-mannered. The bar staff were also lovely. There were four of us and we ordered roast pork, cheeseburger, creamed mushrooms and gammon and chips. The menu is locally sourced and I really enjoyed my pork. I'll certainly recommend this place...
