We went for a weekend in Canterbury and really enjoy going to pubs in the countryside, so I'd already looked into where we could go to eat on the Saturday night, and came across The Rose Inn. We arrived around half 7, it was really well lit and looked so quaint from the outside! We went straight in, it wasn't... More

Booked a table as had heard good reports of this place. Arrived at five to two to be told there would be a 15 minute wait. Place was heaving nowhere to stand or chat. Frankly an awful and uncork able experience half an hour elapsed still no table. Note surprisingly 40 mins in we gave up. Frankly I think it's... More

I'm not normally one for writing reviews but, I felt I had to share how lovely this little pub is. Warm and inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The landlord and land lady were very friendly and welcoming. Two wood burning fires, just what me and my partner wanted on a winters day. We were only... More

Just back from lunch at The Rose Inn. I had ribs and my other half had bangers and mash. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. My only complaint is that once the fire died down we were a little nippy but what do you expect of... More

Although quite small, the hospitality is huge and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Food is excellent value and the hosts frequently organise events to entertain locals and visitors. The setting is redolent of well-loved English tradition as it is located in an attractive Kent village, by the village green.

I have just returned from a break with my family and whilst we were exploring we came across a beautiful little country pub in the picturesque village of Wickhambreaux. What a warm and welcoming pub! The staff were ever so attentive and couldn't do more for us. We had a meal from the specials board, and I must say, was... More

After reading a review that was dated the 11/1/13 from glamour gran 56, I had to write about my experience the the Rose inn plaughmans. I couldn't disagree with her anymore if I tried. What a load of tripe. The plaughmans looked amazing and tasted amazing.as for the remark about the apple, eat around the core! Very petty. I've eaten... More

Went there today for a cosy lunch with my very preggers daughter. I was full of expectation because it's a picture from the outside; inside was very welcoming with two open fires. I ordered a ploughmans and daughter ordered the home made fish finger baguette plus their 'skin on' chips. Mine arrived on a wooden platter. My first impression was... More
