We arrived to this quaint pub on a beautiful summer day. We received a warm welcome and were asked to sit we ordered and out came some delicious Sunday roasts! After that we followed by indulging in some traditional British desserts! Overall a great bit of service with some scrummy nosh! Will be visiting again very soon!

This is a really nice, clean and friendly local pub. We visited recently as we were staying locally for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and welcoming and the pub garden outside was a real sun trap. The food was generous and very tasty. Because there were so many of us, I think we just about... We came here on the Saturday bank holiday and what an amazing time we had. Roughly 25 different beers and locally produced ciders. We had the hog roast which was out of this world. Live bands were playing and the atmosphere was great. Will defiantly be here for the next one in August. Paul and Denise keep up the good... More

My daughter arranged for our family to enjoy an evening meal at The Rose Inn and we were not disappointed in any way....Its situated in a quiet location and has a great deal of natural traditional Kentish character. Our table was reserved but the owners kindly arranged the tables so we could all talk to each other during the meal.... More

Decided to try The Rose Inn having seen some recent good reviews and was not disappointed, great character, beautiful location (we visited in the evening so can't comment on the outside seating etc.) service was good and locals seemed friendly and chatty so a nice atmosphere. The battered Brie was gorgeous if a little filling (eyes bigger than stomach!) and... More

We found this little inn quite by chance when we were having a mystery tour drive round exploring our beautiful countryside. It is a very old pub set in the heart of glorious Wickhambreaux with a garden to the side where wooden tables have been set out with cream and black parasol umbrellas. I chose the ploughman's lunch. This was... More

I recently went to this pub after i googled old english pubs nr Canterbury. I booked the pub for 2pm, and when we arrived we were given a choice of seats to sit in. The pub is set in a beautiful location, it was built circa 1300 and had hops hanging from the ceiling with chilled out music playing. The... More

Lovely setting. Very poor service. Roast dinner was only just warm. Mint sauce arrived towards the end of our meal. Desserts were very disappointing. The Eton Mess was just strawberries & cream. No meringue was to be found. The BBQ was in full swing and I felt the other diners were given a very poor service. Needs to up their... More
