Sweet little restaurant. Loved it! Shared a nice tea with a few friends on vacation! I'll most definitely be returning on our next vacation!

Visited with friends at lunchtime. Were made to feel very welcome. Food was excellent and the Pub and people gave it a very warm ambiance. First Class!!

I visited here early this week, we were welcomed by a lovely young lady who sat us down at a table in front of a log burner. She took our drink order and gave us some menus. I ordered the burger and my husband had the cod and chips. Both dishes looked amazing, the burger was huge all homemade and... More

We went for Sunday lunch two weeks ago, we used to go to the Rose but hadn't been for a couple of years. We realised what we have been missing! Lovely roast dinners followed by a superb, homemade apple crumble . Fluffy apples covered in perfect crispy crumble along with custard, perfect!

The reviews had been so good that we took a visit for Sunday lunch. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and the pub stunning inside in old world charm. The layout worked well with the bar blending with the eating area without intruding. The Sunday lunches were..ok. Three of us had beef which wasn't particularly tasty. The layout of... More

Fantastic little pub in a lovely village , the food and service was good , exactly what I would personally expect in a small intimate place like this , the cod and chips was cooked well as was the hunters chicken, above average pub (grub), having seen some negative reviews of this place on this site, I have too worry... Another fantastic and authentic pub experience in Kent. The food was amazing! Atmosphere was peppered with locals which made it all the more fun for us on holiday! The only thing we disliked was the crowded tables --the folks at the table next to us were rather obese, so their chairs and bodies were pretty much crammed up against our... More

We went in for lunch at 2.45pm. The pub was cold and no fire was lit. The weather was awful outside and they'd made no effort to make it warm or welcoming. Half the tables were covered in decorating stuff? Material? It was a mess. There was no music and a couple of people looking uncomfortable. We wanted something like... More

We went to this pub Wednesday evening to check out the atmosphere and food as we knew it changed hands in the summer. We were delighted to find the pub beautifully decorated with tasteful Christmas greenery and a superb open fire. We enjoyed a very friendly welcome and the food was delicious; the chef is 18 and brilliant! For us,... More
