Lovely Christmas Meal

I chose The Woolpack Inn for my company Christmas meal. This was a perfect place to have this. A quiet traditional country pub. The service was excellent, the food excellent. The staff were attentive and there were no real problems

My sister and I have lunched here every Christmas for the last five years. She, particularly enjoys this very old, very rustic, pub. The welcome is always warm and the huge log fire sets the winter scene beautifully. This is my 'local' so we are very fortunate to have this historic inn on our doorstep. So...the atmosphere is set. The food... More

Discovering this little village was already a great pleasure, highly complemented by a first class meal. The woolpack inn has very welcoming beautifully Xmasly decorated bar, with a roaring chimney fire and a great choice of spirits (my favourite Lagavulin, not usually available in pubs). Interesting à la carte menu with a great choice of local products. The braised lamb... More

Recently enjoyed a great welcome and an amazing dinner at the Woolpack. Roaring fires, great beer, terrific wine list. The food was actually a bit surprising - pleasantly so! It was brilliant - full of flavour, beautifully cooked but not made overly complicated, and simply presented. Highly recommended! Thanks Nicky, Terry and team

Although we are relatively local to Chilham, it as area that we have never really explored so decided to choose the Woolpack for a meal. First problem .... parking, not much in the way of a car park and was completely full so had to park in road ..... second problem ...... cold, it was freezing given there was a... More

What a great find. Friendly, warm, cosy and everything you would expect from a lovely country pub. Lots of local produce combined with a fine selection of drinks make this pub the perfect place for a family meal, a table for two or just a really decent pint with friends. We will be back very soon.

From the moment we arrived at this charming Kent In we knew we had made a great choice for dinner. Ambiance was terrific, food awesome and service was also very good. starters were locally sourced as were both the mains which were absolutely delicious. Prices were average and no more, so very good value. I can't think of a better... More

A group of friends and I visited here, the main dining area was lovely but we decided to eat in the bar as we were likely to be noisy. The staff were friendly and funny, ale was well kept. We ate from the 'bar menu' which was standard pub grub, pies, sausages etc, but it was very tasty. They appeared... More

The village of Chilham is lovely with its pretty square, historic church and castle it is the archetypal venue for coach parties and deservedly so. At the bottom of the hill is the Woolpack Inn, this is our local, we live in the village and would love to rate it as highly as the village itself. So we have eaten... More
