Went here with friends for my birthday some time ago and we recently talked about the fun we had that night so I thought it would be good to put in my comments. We were staying nearby so we made it here twice during our stay and we were made to feel like family by the people we met. They... More

1st visit to the Duke of Cumberland in Barham was a very enjoyable event. Four great ales, including Harvey's, Green King IPA, Timothy Taylor Landlord and backed up by the never failing Tribute. A lovely warm fire in the main bar with great decor, as a country pub should be. Ordered a small portion of nachos to share as a... More

had a mid week lunch with friends here and the food was excellent. The steak and Guinness pie looked delicious while my fish n chips was more like whale n chips! Bit pricey, but quality, staff and surroundings made it well worth it. Will definitely go again.

What a difference a smile makes! Our Ragstones Cycle group (10 of us today) arrived cold and wet. Although the pub was busy, the charming landlady found me a hot radiator to dry my footwear. Most of us opted for the £6.95 2 course menu. Great value! My steak pie with dumpling, mash and caramelised red cabbage was superb!! The... More

The ladies of our group decided to walk here from Broome Park (leaving the men behind to play golf) a couple of days after Christmas. It was well worth the stroll (1.7 miles apparently). The pub was warm and welcoming with a good range of wines on offer, and mulled wine too, which was delicious. We all plumped for a... More

Called in for a lunchtime bite on Monday and was disappointed to be told the specials were not on that day. Shame because I was looking forward to it. I settled for the fixed price lunch which was adequate but nothing special. Tomato and red pepper soup which was very nice but not very hot followed by bangers and mash... More

Having seen not so good reviews for this pub we were a little apprehensive when booking but soon that was proved groundless. After a very warm welcome we settled into a comfy corner with a drink to read the menu.Being a Tuesday and the fact that the place was not crowded at all it was a pleasant surprise to see... More
