Excellent meal and value

A superb meal was had with a big group of family. Nice intimate little venue with warm log fire burning and cosy furnishings. The Sunday roasts were great and excellent value too. We will be back in the summer with the kids as there is a great beer garden too

A party of five went on Saturday evening last and was surprised how roomy it was. The food and service were above average and well worth the visit. The tables were nicely spaced out and therefore you were very comfortable.

After a two hour walk (circa 4 miles) we ended up here where we had the most wonderful sandwich smoked bacon, brie and cranberry. This came with chips (freshly made) and salad. We had decided to share as it was meant to be a snack. Good job as the sandwich was large with wonderful fresh bread and lovely salad. Beers... More

Excellent to deal with - empathtic and happy to cater to your wishes. On the day showed an equal balance of management and discretion to make everything run smoothly. The food was beyond expectation and absolutely delicious with the tea and coffee in constant supply. Many of us didn't know this place existed before today but have all taken note... More

Eight of us went to The Duke of Cumberland for dinner recently. There was a good choice of starters, main courses and deserts, all reasonably priced. The kedgeree for a main course was particularly popular among our group, as was the whitebait for a starter. The pub had a lively atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Just had a lovely meal here. The ambience was just right and the food was lovely and freshly cooked. Service good. Such a nice place to go for a family meal. Highly recommend. Drinks reasonable price.

Went here with friends for my birthday some time ago and we recently talked about the fun we had that night so I thought it would be good to put in my comments. We were staying nearby so we made it here twice during our stay and we were made to feel like family by the people we met. They... More

1st visit to the Duke of Cumberland in Barham was a very enjoyable event. Four great ales, including Harvey's, Green King IPA, Timothy Taylor Landlord and backed up by the never failing Tribute. A lovely warm fire in the main bar with great decor, as a country pub should be. Ordered a small portion of nachos to share as a... More

had a mid week lunch with friends here and the food was excellent. The steak and Guinness pie looked delicious while my fish n chips was more like whale n chips! Bit pricey, but quality, staff and surroundings made it well worth it. Will definitely go again.
