Every trip to SXM includes several dinners at Le Taitu! We love the food, the atmosphere and the friendly manner of the owner, Jean. The nightly special soup is outstanding. The specials are authentic French/creole cuisine. Don't forget to have dessert....coco flan is a favorite.

We first dined at Le Taitu in 2002 and was served by the owner Jean, and have been coming back ever since. The restaurant is a softly lit courtyard with very relaxing ambience. We have tried everything on the menu over the years and enjoy them all. The creole dishes are authentic and everything is freshly prepared. For a casual... More

My wife and I vacation in St Martin once or twice a year. St Martin has more restaurants than you can shake a stick at and everyone we have eaten in has been good. Le Taitu is one of our favourites and we have been eating there since 1998. Not once have we had a bad meal. We ate at... More

Wow, we were told about this restaurant by Nick & Gloria Maley whom we had rented a studio from in Mt. Vernon just up the road and we believe that they couldn't have sold us this AMAZING restaurant ant better. We were early and the gracious owner welcomed and sat us anyways. We were shown the specials board and we... More

We ate at Le Taitu twice while staying at Mont Vernon - the first time because it was close and was recommended by the people who owned the apartment we rented...and the second because it was just too good not to go back. All of the food was superb on both visits, but I have to give a special mention... More

You eat very good, the prices are reasonnable and the atmosphere very plaisant. It's cosy and the owner is very friendly. We enjoy the place every time again, and living on the island, it's our favorite restaurant for quality and prices, rejoycing everytime. French and Creole cooking, with delicious Specials,

The owner was extremely pleasant and friendly. He explained the French menu items to us and we were both so pleased with what we received. We liked being the only Americans in there and could see that the others were French speaking and go to the restaurant regularly. Delicious food and also a great value. By far the best meal... More

Once again the food at Le Taitu is the best! Truly French/Creole cooking. Atmosphere and friendly owner always makes us feel welcomed. Daily Specials are a must along with the coconut flan. This is our favorite St. Martin restaurant.

We stopped by to have lunch here on Monday and came right back again on Tuesday. The setting is a rustic outdoor cafe with a welcoming owner. They have a regular menu, but we were huge fans of the fixed price specials board which includes a drink, a main course, and a hot drink at the end of the meal.... More

This is a return visit for us for lunch. From the “formule” board we ordered the catfish fillet which is a favorite of my husbands and I chose the roasted pork tenderloin with the caramel sauce which was so tender and flavorful! Jean (the owner) provides friendly service, good food and good value! This is one of our favorite restaurants... More
