Jean has made Le Taitu our favorite restaurant on our yearly visits to St.Martin. He provides an open air dining experience in Cul De Sac that is the Caribbean we love. Our favorites include the leek soup and the pork medallions with vanilla sauce. He always offers great local fish as well. If out during the day stop by for... More

We were staying in Mont Vernon and visited Le Taïtu after reading about it and driving by. So glad we did, Jean was outstanding and the food was delicious....! We were getting eaten alive by Mosquitos (bring repellant if there for dinner!) but he was so kind as to let us use his own bug spray! Food was great, atmosphere... More

We planned to take a salad & accras and ended taking a menu & dessert! We took a chicken breast with blue cheese sauce & pork chop with mushrooms sauce. Both were excellent. It's an excellent restaurant to dine in the night, it's very quiet. Recommend anybody who's passing in Cul de Sac!

Stopped here for lunch near Orient Beach and had a great catfish dish with coconut milk sauce. Also ordered a goat cheese salad. Mostly French clientele and a relaxed atmosphere. Welcoming and recommended. Lunch set menu for 12 euros includes entree, drink and coffee. Great value and quality.

We've been going to St. Martin for 16 years; every year we revisit Le Taitu for a great French/Creole meal served by the owner in a delightful setting. If the location was in Grand Case, the place would be full every night. It is low key place and will not disappoint those looking for a break from the haut in... More

Our group of four was on a roll this year visiting previously undiscovered restaurants in Cul de Sac! We loved Le Taitu. Friendly service and interesting menu offerings that all lived up to the great reviews. Cute little place, plenty of parking and if we had found it earlier we would have gone back for a second meal.

Went here twice on a 9-day visit to the island. The French side food is definitely better, but Le Taitu was our favorite of the trip, and earned a second visit back. The pumpkin soup was very tasty, and the mango grouper was the best meal I had the entire trip. Finished with passion fruit sorbet both dinners--so yummy! Jean,... More

Every trip to SXM includes at least one dinner at Le Taitu! We love the food, the atmosphere and the friendly manner of the owner, Jean. The food is authentic French/creole cuisine. Every meal we have had there has been wonderful. The prices are very reasonable and the specials fit most budgets.
