We've been going to St. Martin for 16 years; every year we revisit Le Taitu for a great French/Creole meal served by the owner in a delightful setting. If the location was in Grand Case, the place would be full every night. It is low key place and will not disappoint those looking for a break from the haut in... More

Our group of four was on a roll this year visiting previously undiscovered restaurants in Cul de Sac! We loved Le Taitu. Friendly service and interesting menu offerings that all lived up to the great reviews. Cute little place, plenty of parking and if we had found it earlier we would have gone back for a second meal.

Went here twice on a 9-day visit to the island. The French side food is definitely better, but Le Taitu was our favorite of the trip, and earned a second visit back. The pumpkin soup was very tasty, and the mango grouper was the best meal I had the entire trip. Finished with passion fruit sorbet both dinners--so yummy! Jean,... More

Every trip to SXM includes at least one dinner at Le Taitu! We love the food, the atmosphere and the friendly manner of the owner, Jean. The food is authentic French/creole cuisine. Every meal we have had there has been wonderful. The prices are very reasonable and the specials fit most budgets.

Food was excellent, Service was impeccable. We had 10 people in our party and we all got served at the same time. Owner was great and even shark on the menu. Quite a treat.

A group of twelve friends gathered for dinner at this lovely restaurant. Our host for the evening began with a serving of escargot that a lot of people requested when the reservation was made. My first wife (47 years) and I had grouper and cat fish for an entree. Followed by Carmel flan topped with cafe au laite. The Provence... More

We discovered Le Taitu accidentally on the first night of our 8-day vacation in St Martin...it's located just down the street from Mont Vernon condos, where my husband and I were staying. And what a find it was! We ended up going back on our final night of vacation. The service was terrific - we had the same waiter both... More

A recent review knocks this place. I don't agree. The food is quite good not fabulous but a nice meal at a very reasonable price. This cost of a meal here is about 25% less than at the gourmet restaurants in Grand Case and I think represents an excellent value
