We were delighted to visit this restaurant. Having read the reviews, we expected something good, and we were not at all disappointed. The food was beautifully prepared, the service excellent, and the overall cost very reasonable. Quite clearly, the kitchen used fresh local ingredients which was apparent in the flavours of the food. Of particular note was the sea bass... More

Having viewed recent reviews I look forward greatly to my next visit to wonderful Torcello and this lovely-looking restaurant. Had never been here before despite visiting the island several times and only went in on my latest visit (last Spring) because I was in desperate need of the 'facilities'. I was in rather a hurry to catch the vaporetti back... More

Had a lovely lunch on this enchanting island, the basilica is spectacular, quite unexpected! I can well imagine that the garden of Ponte del Diavolo must be wonderful, though I am told that in summer, the queues stretch from the pier to the church...

This review is long overdue, but better late than never. My family and I visited Venice, Italy in August of 2014. We decided to make a trip to the surrounding islands and Torcello was one of them. A beautiful, peaceful, quaint island. As we walked the strip alongside the river, we came across Osteria Al Ponte del Diavolo. It was... More

If I could give this place a rating of 6, I would. We stopped by for lunch on a warm afternoon in October, and it was just beautiful in their covered area. Looking out over their gorgeous lawn, lounging with their wonderful service, and the food. THE FOOD. I got the little dumpling pastas, sort of like gnocchi, and it... More

The setting. The service. The food. It may be worth a trip to Venezia, let alone a vaporetto ride from the Grand Canal to Torcello. Outdoors under beautiful fabric coverings, and with a view of a lovely garden, it would be enough that this is a tranquil haven away from the crowds of San Marcos Square and the Rialto. But... More

During a girls 3 day mini break to Venice we went to Torcello to see the early church - arriving at lunchtime we passed a couple of OK looking restaurants and then stopped here - whilst the menu was a little more pricey it sounded delicious and the covered dining room next to garden look very inviting, so we thought... Let's face it- it is a hike by vaporetto to get to Torcello and this Osteria, but it is worth the trip. The tranquility of the island and this restaurant in particular are wonderful, especially if you've left on the vaporetto from Piazza San Marco, or even the island of Murano. The restaurant and it's garden are beautiful, the service... More

Look everyone cruises the Grande Canal Venice and if not you should, but if you do then stop for brunch, lunch, afternoon eats or dinner at this restaurant, its one of the best in Venice, if not the best...The setting is typical Venetian/Roman and gardens to match. On a summers day there is nothing better or more tranquil. We took... More
