My team and I had lunch at Cafeno in San Juan Batangas after our visit to Laiya beach. Interior - I absolutely loved the ambiance and feel of Cafeno. It is a small cafe located in an old Filipino Spanish home, decorated with antiques, quaint trinkets, and lovely local art from the area. Adorable paintings from local artists hung on... More

I usually stop here before going home in Laiya. Kapeng barako with suman sa latik is a favorite. The coffee taste like the coffee served by my late grandfather during merienda and breakfast. Food is great too!

Cafeno surprisingly served very good pastries. Worth a try on your next trip in San Juan, Batangas. It is just across Purgold and in front of Petron.

Ate an early lunch with my wife and kids this weekend. As recommended, we ordered the adobo flakes, arroz a la cubana, baked macaroni, iced barako coffee, and the cupcakes and tamales for dessert. While the arroz and baked mac were okay, it was the adobo flakes that rose to the occasion. Dried, flaked, and crisped to perfection, the adobo... More

I like their food & the unique style of their furniture. Food is very good & very affordable. A lot of food selections & served with a twist. However, place is not that spacious & with limited parking area.

I'd been here once before maybe 7 years ago. Though the food did not leave a lasting impression, I liked the look and feel of the place and was looking forward to another visit. Last Saturday, we stopped over for brunch on our way to the beach. I immediately noticed that it had been remodeled. The remodeling though looked a... More

Cafeños owner are the Marasigans (Agerico) whos cousin of the La Luz Beach Resort owners. This resto is right in the heart of San Juan, Batangas just across Puregold Jr. supermarket. Coffee is very good. You can savor the grainy taste and aroma. Food : The Batangas tapa is very good. The beef was tenderized and cooked just right (without... More

We dropped by Cafeno on our way to quezon last week. You'll see the heritage upon entering the place. They must have started operating even before I was born (they must be really old). I love the furnishings. The food was just OK, I tried the tapa and my companion tried the chicken adobo. Their barako coffee was also good... More

not a coffee person, so i wouldn't know how their coffee tastes... but it's also a restaurant, so i'll dwell on that... food-wise, try their chicken adobo flakes. it's my first time to taste this (so there won't be any comparison) but I to say it's really good and crisp. definitely a must-try... you might also want to try their... This is the second time we ate at Cafeno. It gave way better service a year before. The place was much improved also, bigger seating capacity with a/c. But they were short handed; we did see a "Help Wanted" sign in their window. It didn't seem they had laid down a good system in taking orders from dine-in guests and... More
