Great stopover when in San Juan...

Food looks ordinary in the photos, but actually tastes really great. Their Batangas Tapa didn't disappoint. If you love coffee, you will love the shot of Barako coffee that comes with the dish. Their calamansi juice is freshly made and not too sweet. They also have a decent selection of pastries... read more

During our post convention celebration at a beach near San Juan, we asked around for a good place to eat. The people recommended Cafeno. Great pastries and the giant halo-halo were superb. The waitresses were too snotty though.

Great service, even the owners are always there to serve. Great food. Love their coffee of course. Try their barako ice cream. Decor is the best I've seen so far this side of the country.

For those travelling to the beaches of Laiya, here's a restaurant that should not be missed! Found in a bahay na bato, the ancestral home of the owners, Cafeño's interiors reflect the menu- a respect for the past that beautifully brings it to the present. Their three-way takes on adobo are recommended, along with the fish with Cafeño sauce. They... More

We're glad you enjoyed your cafeno experience. The cafe aims to promote local Batangueno dishes and other food items all home made in our kitchen and ingredients from our garden. We are part of the San Juan Heritage group which preserves ancestral houses and will soon open house tours this summer. Please visit us again. Thanks More

On our way back to Manila, my friends are very hungry so we looked for a nice place to eat lunch... I think this is the only nice place in the area that we found... The interior of the restaurant is very unique... Food is very good.. The service is also fast and waiters are very nice...

My team and I had lunch at Cafeno in San Juan Batangas after our visit to Laiya beach. Interior - I absolutely loved the ambiance and feel of Cafeno. It is a small cafe located in an old Filipino Spanish home, decorated with antiques, quaint trinkets, and lovely local art from the area. Adorable paintings from local artists hung on... More

I usually stop here before going home in Laiya. Kapeng barako with suman sa latik is a favorite. The coffee taste like the coffee served by my late grandfather during merienda and breakfast. Food is great too!

Cafeno surprisingly served very good pastries. Worth a try on your next trip in San Juan, Batangas. It is just across Purgold and in front of Petron.

Ate an early lunch with my wife and kids this weekend. As recommended, we ordered the adobo flakes, arroz a la cubana, baked macaroni, iced barako coffee, and the cupcakes and tamales for dessert. While the arroz and baked mac were okay, it was the adobo flakes that rose to the occasion. Dried, flaked, and crisped to perfection, the adobo... More
