So it's that aqkward time betwen Christmas and New Year when you dust down the aged relatives and take them out for a festive meal. This trip was to my mother down near the New Forest and we decided to return to the Old Famhouse ih Burley. We know Burley fairly well as we pass through it on our... read more

Ordered lunch meal , ham,egg and chips and Scampi and chips which arrived within 10 mins - made me suspicious of how thoroughly scampi could be cooked in that short time. Inadequate heating so room we ate in was uncomfortably cold

We visited here as our favourite tea shop was closed. The good points, adequate parking out the front, swift service, old-worldly charm although rather tired. The less good points, although the service was swift, the food was disappointing. They have their own bakery and yet we were served cheap skinny shop bought white toast, rather tasteless bacon and non crisp... More

Recently visited the tearooms and found them average. The building itself is lovely and cosy, perfect for a tearooms really! However, once inside, I felt certain things let the place down a bit. For a start, I thought the presentation of the food could be much better. My boyfriend ordered scones and I ordered crumpets. We also got a pot... More

We booked a Pre Christmas Lunch here with our friends and afterwards all of us were full of praise for the meal, the service and the ambiance. On arrival we were made very welcome and shown to a favourite table which was festively decorated. The service was very thoughtful without being obtrusive. We all made different choices on the extensive... More

Phew what a breakfast.... Great service, staff really friendly, big smiles and really attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast was fab abs very filling. We added extra sausage and bacon, but you really don't need to. Definitely worth a visit. Really quaint tea rooms in the middle of Burley.

Only place that seemed open at 9.30 on a Monday morning, but we weren't disappointed - the lack of choice meant we had a great breakfast. Huge portion for the full english and the BEST - gutted we didn't head back for a cream tea but will be back another time.

As always an awesome breakfast here. Friendly service and great food. No specific kids breakfast available which they should add to the menu but you can order individual items for the little ones
