We had lunch there one day, and I had a prawn sandwich which was delicious and my husbands smoked salmon sandwich was full of salmon. We went back for afternoon tea and had a fabulous cream tea. The scones were warm and gorgeous. Really nice there, the only fault was on the second day, the service was a bit iffy,... More

Stopped for afternoon tea, what a mistake, tea luke warm, scones very dry and tasteless service was terrible, staff very dis-intrested - food plonked down without finesse or attention that was after we managed to get served. A smile would have been nice. would avoid at all cost next time i am there.

Stopped off for tea and coffee whilst driving through the area on a wet day. Fast service, good cream teas, large car park. All in all a good place to stop.

Lovely place nothing too much trouble but how do you mess up a basic like a medium rare steak. Grey all the way through and chewy. Admitted they took it back and had another go but I think they should change their meat supplier as that one was very chewy too but I ate the middle. The peppercorn sauce was... More

Very overrated, service dreadful, all young inexperienced girls who don't know how to make a cup of tea, overpriced too. Tea like dish water, scones like cheap shop bought rubbish. The whole place in need of redecorating and some money investing. The picnic tables wobbled so much they felt unsafe and the sun brolly looked very old and tired too.... More

We always have cream teas while on holiday, especially in New Forest. This place was ok but nothing special. Scones were larger than usual but I don't think they were better than the ones you can buy in the shop. Clotted cream was lovely but we didn't have enough. Most of my coffee was served on the cup's plate due... More

Having whizzed down to the forest to visit a relative, we were really looking forward to a lovely lunch. We ordered the special of salmon fish cakes chips and salad. At nearly £9 we would of expected much better. All was frozen food. A big let down. On the plus side good service and a lovely courtyard garden to sit... More

We always try to find a cream tea when we are away so we visited Burley & were not disappointed with our find. Good value for money, two huge scones either plain, fruit or one of each, large dollop of clotted cream & two types of jam served in mini glass jars. Absolutely delicious & great value for money. Noticed... More
