As we were early for an appointment in Burley, we decided to pass the time with a coffee. We easily found The Old Farmhouse Restaurant and Tea Room situated on the main road in the village. We found the staff very welcoming. We ordered two coffees and a piece of apple cake. Both were very good, especially the apple cake,... More

I took my two children here for lunch. We have been before with the whole family, so we knew it would be a tasty lunch. The service is great, and the food came out pretty quickly, always good when you have hungry children. Everything is very quaint and it's just a very nice place to eat. It's always clean and... More

My husband and I had just finished a very long cycle ride and wanted to treat ourselves, and what a treat it turned out to be. Seated straight away despite being so busy we experienced their traditional cream teas. They are wonderful and very well priced. We will be visiting again when back in the area :-)

We visited Burley with family and on the day they were having a Fairy Festival which was great fun but that aside we went to The Old Farmhouse for a cream tea; this was a lovely quaint place with a yummy cream tea. The service was spot on, polite and quick and we will certainly pay another visit next time... More

Great place for the cycling fraternity, plenty of parking for the bikes. Best flapjack in the new forest. Nice place to visit, would recommend to others.

It is unusual if we don't come here on a trip to the new forest as it is such a lovely place. The lunches are yummy and the staff friendly. The evening meals are well worth having apparently the owner does these evening meals more as a hobby so the menu changes quite often which I like. Def feels very... More

Returned here after having coffee and tea cakes the day previously, this time for lunch. A great choice and value for money. My smoked salmon and cucumber granary loaf sandwich was scrumptious. It also had salad and crisps with it. My husband had a tuna salad which also had new potatoes and really was a meal in itself considering we... More
