We had a great Sunday lunch here - huge platefuls of very tasty food and good service. We had to book though and it's no wonder - this is a seriously huge pub with masses of tables inside and out! We had a late lunch (3pm) and I was rather glad as by then some of the tables had emptied... More

As locals we have desperately wanted this to be the sort of place we can rely on. Unfortunately, after a number of recent visits, it simply hasn't come up with the goods. Don't get me wrong, it's a great looking country pub in a lovely spot. The inside has benefited from a complete refurb and the staff are attentive and... More

I've stayed at the White Buck a few times over the years and have never reviewed .. Popped in for lunch on Friday as we know it doesn't disappoint. We had a lovely cosy corner in the bar and then moved into the restaurant which was nice and busy. We shared a breadstick and dip starter and the I had... More

Went here with grandchildren for family lunch. Very pleasantly surprised, were given lovely big table and the food was very good, although the menu was fairly small and a little bit limited. However, the service was good and we had a very relaxing lunch and we will be going back.

Thank you for taking the time to review, it is lovely motivation for the staff to read the reviews that guests post. It would depend when you visited as our Sunday menu is slightly more limited due to the amount of people that come on a Sunday and also the added dishes of the roasts. I am so glad that... More

Stumbled on this pub as a recommendation in the accommodation we were staying at for a short break in the New Forest, we were not prepared for how incredible it was! The food was exceptional, affordable and beautiful and the staff were all lovely. Definitely try the roasted pigeon starter...

It is always so nice when people recommend us, we do feel that word of mouth is the best advertising available to us. Then when we get it right on the inside that is what matters to us here, that you our guests leave wanting to tell people how wonderful it was. I shall of course pass your lovely comments... More

Lovely setting but come on Fuller's, this place is so special you should make it 'unique'. Shame you have removed the beautiful chalkings of the deer by the front door. I remember taking photo's of the deer on our last visit - now just a plain wall with the pubs name on it.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you did not like the changes, as it has been over a year since we refurbished we have had some amazing feedback on the warmth and the quality on the inside and the outside. I did to love the drawings on the wall, always helped me to recognise my deer's. We... More

Excellent quality vegetarian options, not just token ones to satisfy the critics. Good wine selection. Nice beer. Well presented.
