Popped in on Saturday and will definitely be back. My 2 young boys were very well looked after and the outside area was perfect for my 4 year old to go crazy in! The food had a wait but this was no problem at all because all the meals are made fresh to order - what would you rather have?... More

At last someone who cares about the food, the decor and making this pub a success. We're locals and yes, they are doing it a bit different but the quality of the food was excellent - we shared an early evening tapas of five dishes for under £20 - fried haggis with onion marmalade may not be typical of Spain... I arrived at this pub expecting the usual drab pub menu and frankly had already made my choice in my mind. Much to my surprise I'm happy to say the menu actually made me stumped as to what to have. Tapas....pork belly.... lamb shoulder...duck confit? ?? A welcome surprise. I opted for tapas to begin and confit of duck with... More

I visited here Monday lunchtime with some friends, we weren't overly hungry and went for some drinks. However, we were peckish so decided to order some tapas. I thought it was excellent and great value for money! Even though portion sizes aren't overly large, I think they are seen as a snack/ starter dish. I had the kebabs which were... More

We popped in for a quick lunch las week and expected the usual pub lunch but we were amazed at the quality of the food and the standards were a lot higher than the price suggested. I had the Pork belly and it was so tender and tasty. presentation was awesome and cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back.

First review I have ever left for anything but was so disgusted by the food I wrote this as soon as I got in. Ordered seven tapas dishes. All came together on two long serving plates. Everything mixing in with each other. Humas and tzatzki came slopped on plate next to each other so the flavours mixed together. One pitiful... More

When having had a lovely walk we followed a recommendation of a New Forest ranger to try The Horse and Groom for lunch.I had the feeling he might have liked to keep it a local secret which made it all the more inviting. We we're welcomed by the publican who showed us to a table and immediately got our drinks.... More

I've been eating & drinking at the Horse & Groom for around 15 years; quiet family meals, extended family Sunday lunches, bike ride stop-offs for drinks & snacks etc. It's in a beautiful location with wonderful walks & bike rides in all directions. A summer highlight has always been enjoying a cool beer at a table in the front on... More

Went to this pub most nights while we stayed in the New Forest. The service was great and the people running the pub were a cheerful bunch. The food was always good and piping hot. The menu was the same every night but enough on there to have a different dish every night if you wanted to. Would recommend and... More

Had heard some good reviews about this place so thought we would try. First impressions, great! That was until we ordered. My partner ordered our drinks, the barman served mine but not hers so we ordered again, we then ordered our food. Half hour later the same barman asked as again what we were having to eat? then we heard... More
