Tasty starters and comfortable atmosphere

Went there as the place we wanted to go was closed. Its a bar, kind of like a Weatherspoons, still serving alcohol as any other but serves tasty started, had the wings, lamb chops and casava chips (fried in spices and garlic). Quite filling. I went to this restaurant this evening with my Dad, and the atmosphere was good, such a 'ladish' atmosphere. The food was absolutely splendid both in spice and in taste. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, i'd recommend it. Try the spicy garlic mogo as a starter, its very nice!

This place has excellent food at a good price. The only downside is the service is typically very poor. I have been multiple times and there is always a sense of urgency to turn tables over.

We go back regularly just because the food is phenomenal and you can tell it is because its always full! The service is never great - you'll always feel rushed so that they can accommodate the next group of people waiting to eat...but that's part of the parcel. They have recently started taking bookings online (was always first come first... More

Me and friends eat here around 4 times a month with a minimum of £150 (we like to eat)and I was very appalled by the way we where treated, we where rushed to our table and mid way through eating was asked to move tables and when well you be done, due to large group. I understand you where busy but... More

This is by far my favourite place to get Indian food. I think people expect something different when you look at the place from the outside. I've been here more than ten times now and will continue to visit for as long as I live in the area. This is a very buzzy...fast paced place with a pub like atmosphere.... More

I never knew what the big deal was about The Regency Club. It just came across as a pub for men, a really blokey place that no women would usually go to a little like a working mens club. So my Regency Club virginity broke and I tried the food and well what can I say, this is Indian food... More

I've visited this restaurant many times but this is the first time reviewing it, and it just goes from strength to strength. We visited on a Sunday evening and even then it was fairly busy. We were asked to get a drink at the bar whilst our table was cleared and cleaned. A few minutes later we were seated and... More

We had to wait for an hour to get seated. But considering this was a Saturday at prime time we didn't expect anything other than this. We had ordered the leg of lamb which was very nice. I always think however that the leg of lamb is not spicy enough but that's a personal opinion. Overall the service was okay,... More
