Very good choice in Uxbridge

Simple and traditional pub. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a relaxing patio.... I would go back if around!

Stopped here for lunch on a shopping expedition to Uxbridge. The authentic 16th and 17th century structure was an immediate draw for us. We were pleasantly surprised on entering to find it almost full with local residents enjoying a weekday lunch. There is a heated tiled counter on which the food is attractively displayed in what might be staub or... More

Traditional pub with a selection of four real ales. Had a selection from the Christmas buffet for a party which arrived hot and was tasty. Some found the samosas quite spicy. Overall the buffet was a good quantity and quality. Will be going back to try their Sunday roast.

I don't get The reviews of this place, I sent here because of them and was disappointed. A very average pub with average food. Ok beer. The downstairs part of the pub has atmosphere, whereas the upper part is on the seedy side. This pub needs to reinvent itself as Nandos, Waggamamma and pizza places are doing better trade. No... Decided on Uxbridge for our pre-Wembley lunch. Enjoyed a nice pint with very friendly service and decided to stay on for the Sunday carvery. Delicious cooked roast potatoes and meat and a good sized portion too. Just a little disappointed that the veg was only peas and carrots and that although the apple pie desert was tasty it took an... Me and 2 friends visited this pub whilst staying in Uxbridge for the challenge cup final in Wembley. The atmosphere was really nice inside and there was plenty of room for seats. The choice of beer was good and we enjoyed the pints we had.
