We had a pleasant drink in the courtyard and enjoyed the evening sunshine before dining. We chose to have a selection of starters, making our own tapas, and theye were all very nice indeed. A special mention must go to the Courgette Flowers stuffed with Crab and cooked in Tempura batter.

Interesting dishes almost entirely cooked from locally produced ingredients. The crab came from Cromer on the nearby East coasr. The bacon, sausages, black pudding and eggs from Wing itself. Many of the foodstuffs are also available for purchase so we went off with more of the delicious sausages and smoked trout from nearby Rutland Water. Service is excellent. Good local... More

Nice welcome. Had a good meal when we eventually chose from the 3 menus and the special board! Too much choice really. Lamb rack too underdone, very rare. Breaded smoked sweetbreads too large a portion, and got a bit fed up with them to be honest. Attentive staff without being OTT. Could do with a bit longer between courses, service... More

Awesome Sunday roast, super tasty, and BIG portions, what else could you ask for? Nice atmosphere as well. Oh, the puds were top-drawer too. Can't wait to go back.

And by golly have they got one! This visit we took some friends who are very fussy. They liked every part of every course, truly unheard of!!! Between four of us we had four different starters and four different mains and all were fantastic examples. So the really great thing about this place is you can confidently choose anything from... When we entered the resturant the main dining area was on our left, but we shown to an area to the right, where there were 4 tables for couples crammed into a very small area. The tables were so close that you could overhear everybodies conversations. The food was well presented, but overpriced, there is better value elsewhere in the surrounding area

The food was excellent. The service was a little slow, but the reasons were carefully explained and it didn't make any difference to us. The wine was good, and so was the beer. It's in a nice village a couple of miles from Rutland Water.

We ate here in midweek and the place was almost deserted, so the atmosphere was a little flat. Perhaps they could do with some background music to help. The menu is huge (the pub classic menu is extremely tempting - the only other diners on the night we visited had ham, egg and chips and fish and chips and both... More
