A lovely little gastro pub set in the little village of Wing, near to Rutland water. We've been here twice now and both times the food was delicious and great value for money. The staff are friendly and provide good service. We are particularly impressed with the effort that has gone into sourcing local produce. Also special mention goes to... More

We were roaming around Rutland last week and visited this venue for lunch. The building looks rather odd at first glance as it runs back from the road rather than parallel to it. We parked in the car park at the rear and were impessed to see fruit cages along one and a range of rather elegant chickens on the... More

We came on a visit to Barnsdale Gardens and once again had lunch at the Kings Arms - we hadn't booked but they found us a table! The staff are so friendly and helpful here. This is a lovely, comfortable pub with a great relaxing atmosphere. There is a good choice of beers - I enjoyed a pint of 'Cooking'... More

We have made many enjoyable trips to Rutland Water and today we decided to stop off for a lunchtime meal. It was a good decision, the food was very good and quite a good selection at a very good price. The service was good and the staff very pleasant. We left feeling it was a good experiance and will definitely... More

Had a restaurant meal in a group of seven including a couple of spry 90 year-olds, and the food was very good - particularly recommend the wild boar, and if you like your portions on the larger side of huge - then try the pie - the rabbit pie was magnificent according to its eater (a mere 63 year-old!) The... More

My friend and I came here for dinner and the food was delicious and well presented. We both had the rump steak which came with hand cut chips, which were perfectly cooked. We shared a chocolate brownie with home made ice cream which was just enough. The restaurant and bar has a nice ambience.

We were really impressed with the food at the Kings Arms - particularly the local sourcing of produce and suppliers. Good selection of dishes and options managing three courses! We ate at lunchtime which was very very quiet letting the atmosphere down, however we understood that it was fully booked in the evenings. I think many people stay there and... More

We visited this pub Sunday 7th Sept and were lucky enough to get the last table. We had a drink outside and the staff were all wonderful. We both chose roast lamb which was delicous, served with roast and dauphinous potatoes, yorkshire pudding and a dish of vegetables. Its was all beautifuly cooked. We both had pudding and they were... This is a good pub/restaurant in Wing. It is on the more pricey end of village restaurants but you get great food and they cure and produce their own specialities. The owner/chef has a particular interest in different foods. The atmosphere is very cosy and the service/staff are friendly. Might be worth booking in advance and more an adult than... More

Have not been for a couple of years and was really looking forward to going, was not disappointed! The food is absolutely fantastic and very well priced. Service is efficient and friendly without being obtrusive. One of my favourite places to eat.
