The bar is where it's at...music

Had some refreshments here but didn't eat as there are cheaper and better restaurants in town. Live calypso music one night and interesting DJ selections other nights. Friendly crowd and much dancing

This place has been famous for it's flavorful food for many many years. It became so popular that they opened one in San José. The food is phenomenal. The stuffed plantain appetizer is exquisite, the fish is succulent, the place is a must visit for caribbean food. Sometimes it can take a little longer than usual to get your meals,... More

Maxis is an appropriate name- over 8 dollars for a mohito! Given the prices and unbearably loud bad music , we did not stay for dinner.

I have been to this place three times. My favorite order is the vegetarian rice and beans. The price goes from $10 to $50 per person. Its a bit slow, but if you sit close to the balcony you can enjoy the perfect view of thw beautiful whitw sand of manzanillo beach. If you are lucky enough you get to... More

Music is unbearably loud at bar downstairs. Food is too expensive. This used to be a more welcoming establishment. It seems as though there is a lack of concern for customer satisfaction by the current management.

Great location. Cheap beer. Good music. Mediocre food. Excellent place to go after a day tour with Abel.

We made an inopportune stop in here for a drink and stayed for hours. Manzanillo is a little hamlet and there is only one place to have a drink, Maxi's. This is not a typical touristy place but the owner and the locals made this place great. By the end of the night we had got to know a little... More

We went to Maxi's because we read online that it was the place to go for typical East Coast Costa Rican food. The food was good and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
