My husband and I took a trip to Manzanillo a few days ago and stopped at Maxi's for lunch. We sat at a table with an awesome view of the ocean. The place has a great atmosphere..the staff were very friendly and service was great! My husband ordered seafood and rice and I ordered shrimp and rice..our meals were absolutely... More

We ordered red snapper and it... was... amazing. This is a really fun place. Great food and a really easy, laid back, locals-friendly bar and hangout area down below. Eat here!

We went to have lunch in a very traditional place in Manzanillo, I wasn't sure about the prices but whatever the price it is too expensive for the food you receive. We sat in the place with a lovely ocean view. The menu included a seemingly good variety, the choice ranged from ceviche for starters, lobsters, steak, with side dishes of... More

This place was a real delight!!! Overlooking the sea, the ambiance is great. The service was just fine (although slow, as usual in Costa Rica). The pina colada's are made with love! The shrimp and catch of the day are worth the trip to this place. Be forewarned, you will not be able to get a taxi very Easily back... More

This place was so good we went 3 times during our 4 day stay in Puerto Viejo. We had nearly everything in on the menu. Well worth drive from our hotel.

The food was good but not amazing, the atmosphere great. The restaurant and attached bar and Soda are the center of life in the village.

Went for lunch with my family of four. Service was indifferent and the music from downstairs was too loud. We had rondon, arroz con pollo and our daughter had pappas fritas. The chicken dish was dry, the rondon lacked vegetables and coconut. The pappas was good though; freshly cut and our daughter liked them. We've had better and more food... More

This is a spot that has passed the test of time. The food is exquisite. Authentic Caribbean. Simple without pretense. Fresh fish and large portions. Lovely atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed sitting upstairs by the bar to gaze into the Caribbean at sunset. Very romantic.

We loved the place, if you walk up the stairs until they finish, you get to a wonderful table for 6-8people, isolated and with a seaview. This was our table and we loved it. Except the seafood soup that was excellent, everything else fell under normality. Nothing wrong, everything was correct but not really special. The strawberry&watermelon smoothie was a... More
