great pastries, coffee really strong

Stopped off midway on a walk. Wood stove, nice rural Scandinavian feel, reminded me of Iceland somehow, dog friendly, laid back. Cakes home-made. Rocky road suberb, salted caramel brownie had something about it that took me back to being a kid in the sixties. Personally I thought the flat white was... read more

My husband and I came across this pretty picturesque venue whilst having our Easter Saturday Rideout. We were delighted to discover it and sampled patisserie delights and coffees. We certainly can recommend the Wolfhouse especially on a warm day when you can sit out in the garden.

We stopped off here on an Art Trail. It's a lovely spot with good food and a great, arty atmosphere. I will be lovely to go back in the summer. Really yummy cakes and a lovely selection of home made cakes. The soup was excellent

We were on our way to Grasmere and called in for a bacon sandwich which was delicious, tea and coffee good too! The homemade cakes looked great. The fire enhanced the lovely venue and the outside eating areas looked great for warmer days! Staff were very friendly and efficient. The Wolfhouse in Altrincham market is already a firm favourite and we... More

After a bracing walk in gale-force winds we dropped in for a spot of lunch. Been here lots of times before and always surprised how busy it is for a cafe in the 'middle of nowhere'. The best thing for us is the friendly and helpful young staff combined with lovely food using locally sourced products. Lots of room to... More

So enjoyed stopping off here for a reviving cup of coffee during our walk. The ginger cake was beautiful, the carrot cake delightful. Good value for money too

One of the best independent coffee shops I have had the pleasure of visiting in the UK. This is up there with the very best and would not be out of place in Borough Market! Great coffee and sublime cakes. Wife declared the 'pretzel rocky road' as the best she has ever had and that is not a claim to... More

Having visited Wolf House Tea Room many times over many years and found it to be a super place to visit in this area of outstanding natural beauty. I have found that it has been on a downhill slide for some time. This visit however found it to be at it's lowest point yet. On entering, the interior was in... More

We loved this place. It is part of what looks like a converted pair of barns and combines a top-quality cafe/restaurant with the Wolfhouse gallery, where the food is renowned. The venue offers a gallery, an artisan studio and the cafe/restaurant , the Wolfhouse Kitchen. The gallery offers an excellent choice of craft wares, including an extensive range of artisan... More
