This is, without a doubt, one of the most surprising restaurants in Baja. It is a palapa (it has four tables - all outdoors) off a dirt road in Pescadero. The owner, Carlos, personally catches most of the fish eaten here which guarantees it's freshness. He has a wonderful menu but if you eat here just have him serve what... More

I love Carlito's Place. Definitely a top 10 in my list of my favorite restaurants. Most people coming to eat here are people living/vacationing in Los Cabos which is about an hour away; so for some it might sound off-putting. They only accept cash, and are a little bit on the pricier side. Nevertheless everything about this place is worth... More

We always go for a special dinner at Carlito's. We have a home in Pescadero and always try to take friends there who come for a visit. A little pricey but worth every morsel.

The location is a little crazy to find, but once you do, it is a little oasis. Take HWY 19 North, and take the first right after you pass Baja Beans at KM 63. Then Carlitos Place is set back on the left about 100 yards down the street. The setting is a beautiful garden filled with palms with a... More

Carlito's is very conscious of protecting the health and welfare of there customers. Carlito's uses natural organic producst to control flys, bobo's, ants, and other unwanted nuisance insects. I will eat at this restaurant anyday knowing they do not use harmful toxic synthetic chemicals:-) The Gardening Guru , Baja Sur Mexico

Our family ate here last week and it was incredible. It was a very hot evening, so we were glad they had the fans going. Carlos wasn't cooking the night we were there, but the food was still delicious. The oysters are huge, plum and tasty. A nice variety of seafood to choose from. It is mostly seafood place which... This is a firstrate restaurant by a highly gifted chef and his lovely wife. The setting is lovely, in a garden. The food was one delight after another. Lovely fruity margaritas. Hard to find, but once you got there, you were transported to another dimension.

I don't like sushi, but I didn't need to order any. There's a lot more on the menu (sashimi, tempura, etc.). The banana peppers were outstanding. So were the mahi mahi tempura ribs. So were the cocktails. Apparently, so was the sushi. At least, the people in my party who like sushi enjoyed theirs. I *really* wanted the pelican statue... More

After reading great reviews we were a bit disappointed. For a fine restaurant such as this you would think they would offer at least a couple of choices for red wine. The night we dined only one was available. Scallops were highly recommended but disappointed by two diners in our party. Someone suggested if an menu item is being pushed,... More

Carlito never disappoints--we let him choose our meal & it is always excellent. The peppers stuffed with crab in a mango-cilantro sauce are a constant; everything else depends on what has come in that day. This visit we had mouth-watering sashimi followed by amberjack, grouper, butterflied shrimp & sushi. Tamarind and lime-mint margaritas followed by a nice Sauvignon Blanc completed... More
