We went to this restaurant as it was my Mother in Law's b'day. They live fairly near by so it was a restaurant that they had not been to and wanted to go. First impression very nicely decorated, very homey type feel with a small bar area and a country store. We were seated by friendly staff and served our... More

We were recently lucky enough to visit The Goose on two occasions this past week......1st we enjoyed a lovely light lunch from their new 'lounge Menu' in the new vamped lounge area, that was delicious & well presented. After lunch we had a good look around their new Deli & would highly recommend a visit, plenty of lovely home &... More

We poped in for a pint and a ploughmans lunch. Smallest roll I have seen. Left and went to the pup on the 120 and had something to eat. Shame it was a goog pub. More of a shop now

Had not visited the Fat Goose in a while and was unaware of the changes in layout. So was surprised to walk into a deli / village store rather than the familiar reception / lounge area. Walked through the shop into the restaurant proper to find that half is now reception / bar / lounge and seating limited to the... More

My partner and I have been coming to "The Fat Goose" for anumber of years now. The last few years the restaurant has got better and better. I am fussy and I will always be honest. Last Thursday my partner and I took some friends to "The Fat Goose" and we were welcomed gracefully which is always a bonus. The... More

We regularly use the Fat Goose to meet friends who live near Frinton. It's a 60 mile round trip for us but so well worth it. It's difficult to find comparable food and ambience locally. The recently opened deli is another bonus.

Visited here today for an early lunch. I had been recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the ambience is warm and welcoming and the food was very good. The special offer two courses for £12 was good value and the fish was fresh and "meaty" and the whole lunch was very well... More

Such a great experience from start to finish! The service was outstanding and the food was so amazing. It was such a lovely place to spend time with family and friends. The pub itself is really nicely furnished and the bathroom facilities are stunning! I have never been anywhere where you get your own hand towel after washing your hands!... More
