We were instantly greeted as friends as we walked into whispers, such a nice welcome. I had a tasty house Sauvignon, and the lamb feta burger. The Boyf had an ale and chicken roast (he said it was fine, the people near us raved about the beef roast). Friendly place, looked like they did live music too. Nice place to... More

We needed somewhere to meet friends for lunch and someone mentioned Whispers. So pleased we tried it. Great atmosphere, great food and good size portions. All at reasonable prices. Will certainly visit again

Went early one Friday lunchtime, and the place was filling up steadily with what appeared to be regulars. Very good snack; Tex-Mex style, which was very welcome. Cheerful friendly proprietor welcomed and talked to customers old and new. Reasonable selection of wine; didn’t try the beer. Will definitely be back.

Ive been to this bar many times over the years and it has the making of something great, but has been left behind by the competition. Located in the high street it has lovely window seats open fire and resturant upstairs. Staff are always friendly and the food is generally good. Prices are not cheap. My only criticism is that... Lovely soup spoiled by awful bread rolls that had been completely dried out close to breaking teeth. Lime cheesecake was a bit slimy also disappointing. Please get it right to match the lovely soup.

Love eating at Whispers. Last night we had a surprise party/meal in the restaurant for my mum and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. The food is incredible and excellent value for money. Thank you.

This was our second visit to whispers , the first visit was in the evening it was delightful both food and staff and this time it didn't disappoint . We had the mushroom & cheese open sandwich , chicken tikka baguette and homemade salmon burger and all enjoyed every last mouthful of it. It's well presented and value for money.... More

Yet again another fantastic meal, I had the Marinated Tenderloin of Pork topped with delicate strips of stir fried veg, dauphinoise potatoes and the most gorgeous blue cheese sauce "to die for". My partner went for the Homemade Lamb Burger which was filled with Feta cheese and came with a mint dip. Not only was the food outstanding but it... More
