Michelangelo lived here & he left?

Too hungry thinking about the food here to write a big review. Why paint ceilings when u can eat here ? Typical cuisine for the region , go on an empty stomach.

Good prices on waves of classic family Italian cooking. The Tagliatelle, the fried porcini, the friendly bustling service, a great place we return to every visit. But pace yourself, I dare you.

Very nice food ... loved it...great price and atmosphere. The Sunday lunch was not as good. It was very long.....3 hours. We felt it was too long although the view is stunning and we got a chance to relax and enjoy. I would recommend eating at la buca during the week rather than having the sunday lunch. Food is far... We were invited to have lunch here as part of our stay at the lovely Castle of Pianettole. The main room is a bright and airy space with views out over wooded hills (you can also eat out on the balcony). Service is friendly/professional/good natured. The food keeps coming, all of it delicious and the portions are extremely generous (with... More

While visiting Tuscany in July, a friend of a friend who is now a local in the area took us to this place for dinner one evening. The drive up is seriously curvy (apparently it is an actual race course on occasion), but hold onto your seat and think of the pleasures ahead. Head up the steps and, when seated,... More

After spending 3weeks travelling all over Italy, we spent our last day enjoying a traditional Sunday Italian Long Lunch in the hilltop village of Caprese Michelangelo. Overnight snow had made the roads a little icy but both levels of the restaurant were packed with locals and once we started eating we saw why. The food is authentic and plentiful. I... More

When we first came to the area six years ago this was one of the first restaurants we visited. It is one of the best places to spend a Sunday lunchtime ( which always becomes late Sunday afternoon ) with family and friends. As previous viewers have said the food just keeps coming and coming, the service is always good... More

We recently had a wonderful Sunday feast at Buca Di Michelangelo, 14 courses, unlimited wine, bottles of water, 30€ per person. The lunch goes from 1-4 p.m. What a magnificent way to spend an afternoon. The friendly staff come around with platters of food, a great sampling of local specialities. We visited the restaurant 6 years ago and had to... More
