Great Chocolate

We had chocolate here a couple of times and it was great! I had to try the hot chocolate with chilies and it was very good.

My brother and I took our first trip to Campeche in January and were advised by a good friend to end our first night at Chocol Ha. Long story short, we are sure glad we did--and we spent every remaining night in Campeche at Chocol Ha. This is a family-run establishment that will treat you as one of their own.... More

Chocol Ha lives up to its Trip Advisor billing. It serves mainly chocolate drinks and "frutas" drinks - and their specialization has resulted in perfection. (Not a place to go for dinner.) It's on the main pedestrian street - which is great, as there is outside seating, and no traffic whatsoever. I had the Chocolate Mocha Frappe - it was,... More

If you visit Campeche stop by Chocol-ha and you can taste some of the best hot chocolate in the region. Enjoy your cup with some of the pastries made there too it's just a good time if you enjoy hot beverages and good bread.

After a long day of visiting Mayan ruins this place is an oasis. We had carrot cake --- amazing and the Hot Chocolate was a life changing experience. Incredible.

We thought it was ranked so high because sweettooths loved it so. But the tamale and Chaya crepes were pretty decent especially washed down with chocolate mocha frappe! The owner greeted us at our table. Like Juliette Binoche, she makes everyone smile with her concoctions.

We tried the chocolate and strawberry crepe. Delicious. The chocolate used was extraordinary: 80% cocoa fromTabasco, a dark half bitter blend that worked very well with the home-made strawberry preserves. I also had chocolate and mint tea. The place is homey, pleasant and unhurried, with a varied and creative menu.

Really nice hot chocolates and the chocolate tamales were nice as well! They even let us eat our bread from the famous town of Pomuch (Pan de Pomuch) after a day trip. The hot chocolate with chile is very nice and the mint chocolate as well. The 80% hot chocolate was too intense but the waiter did warn us so... More
