Tasty variety of traditional foods

Ate here twice in 1 week, convenient location to hotel. Food was very good, especially the beet carpaccio appetizer. Ceviche was not flavored to my liking, and they took it back with no issue. Tried half a dozen dishes over the two visits, and everything was delicious. Loved the panuchos... read more

This popular restaurant lived up to our expectations. Two of our party had the excellent fish. The service was a little slow since it was a busy time, but the food was worth the wait.

The good food (and my fish was really cheap too!) was interrupted by a horrible loud noice outside which they seemed used too...

In the center of the old town of Campeche, just a few meters away the puerta de mar. I just went because it was suggested in my lonely planet guide, after checking the prices. The prices are quite normal. I had a beer and chicken tamales (a typical Mexican plate, made with corn paste filled with chicken meat). The staff... More

where besides the tourists many locals ate, a reference.! Apart from the food, watch the service and waiters!!! Pedro the "head waiter" is fantastic he makes sure that all is in order and speaks several languages. Watching the help perform is like watching a ballet. Pedro suggested we order the Parillada de Mariscos, which we shared. Excellent value for money.... More

This restaurant offers typical Campeche food, taste is good, but you can find same and more options at a better price. So if you start your trip in the main plaza at downtown, this might be one if the first options you find, if you pick it its good, but dont forget you can do better if you walk a... More

We went there to try local specialities and weren't dosappointed. The minced shark pie is really big, so if you're not hungry, order one to split. All dishes served there are really big, so you can easily get stuffed in there :) And definetely try sweet coconut drink with cinammon - really interesting taste :)

My partner and I started off with a traditional tamarind margarita, not on the menu but we read about it so we ordered one...they were very good. A nice break from the traditional margarita. We split the shrimp soup for an appetizer and it was good. I ordered the Grilled shrimp which came with vegetables. The shrimp were large, fresh... More

Tasty food, quick service and a place to see how the native retired men gather for a morning natter.
