Firstly I cannot understand why people would say this place was unfriendly, We walked in here while on our hols with child and dog and never been in before and inquired about a beer garden, the lady was lovely and helpful and even carried our drinks up for us and got water for our dog. There waqs a lovely sea... More

Glasses were sticky, whole place needs a good clean up, hygene does not appear to be a priority. No parking Round the back by the toilets where there was no hand drying facilities it looked even worse, did not bother with a food. Local council might like to check it out.

The folks giving this place 5 stars must love dirty saloons with a sickly, stale smell of slopped beer, grubby tables, battered decor and loud music. Not for us.

A bit off the tourist trail and a pub for locals the food was very good indeed - especially the prawn and crab salads. Food arrived promptly and not too expensive.

The food itself is worth a try, we were a little put off on arrival by the shabby pub exterior and bar area but we will definiTLY be returning again as the dinner we had here was good value for money and very tasty.

If your're a local perhaps you are welcome here, as a casual visitor you are certainly not. Indifferent service and dreadful atmosphere with drunken locals reminding visitors that they aren't welcome, (who cares what these Emets think). Well us Emets can do without them but I doubt they can do without us! Best avoided.

Great food, great pub, we had to wait a little while for the food. It was well worth waiting for, we later found out there was genuine reason for wait as there was a problem in the kitchen.

We were told that this little pub did a reasonable meal! Understatement of the year, three of us ordered the fish parcels. The pub was very busy so we had a bit of a wait but the meal was absolutely delightful, the staff were very friendly and helpful the other guests were obviously locals so the atmosphere was good.
