We stayed in Newlyn over Christmas and this pub was just down the road from our cottage. We visited about 3 times and every time we were made to feel very welcome by the bar staff and locals. Great atmosphere and the pub looks lovely inside. My only regret is that we didnt eat there, and that was only because we... More

This pub was located very close to the cottage we were renting. From outside it didn't look overly inviting but after a day of travelling, we thought this would be simply convenient. Not only was it convenient ~ food was delicous and reasonably priced. The fish parcels were amazing. We ended up going back for supper two more times. Would... More

We were recommended to try this pub by the lady in the fishmongers, we had walked past earlier and not gone in. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely modern interior, not what I expected. The welcome was very warm and we instantly felt at home. The food was delicious, hot, and plentiful, we had crab... More

We called in after walking from Penzance Fish soup was off the menu so we had the crab soup which was delicious Not that I'm a prude but the language from the locals at the bar wasn't Cornish but their range of vocabulary was challenged , they used the F word at every opportunity at times in the middle of... Yes there is a pool table, darts, and juke box with limited eating space but the food was delicious. Very much a locals pub- language could be a little choice, so beware.. Ate there 3 times in a week- different choices every night- the main eating area is smart and well laid out.. Have to say we ate in 11... More

A fantastic welcome on our first visit was followed by an entertaining evening given by the locals - mainly from the fishing fraternity.Excellent crab cake and also fish parcel - couldn't be anything else from this premier fishing harbour. Can't wait for our return!

Crab soup was really fantastic. The rest was good. A bit of a lads pub with pool table, juke box and darts. Better tan it looks from the road.

Went here for tea after consulting Trip Advisor! How we laughed the regulars are hilarious, reminded us of a pub in Birmingham. Salt of the earth! Brilliant. The food is freshly cooked, nicely presented & delicious. Hubby had the Hungryman's horseshoe gammon, double eggs & chips! I had beer tempura battered monkfish gougons, new potatoes (actually they were baby pearl... More

Good food. Good atmosphere. Good local. Landlord and landlady welcoming. This pub again welcomes families. Overlooking the harbour of Newlyn. Enjoy a good meal. Listen to the locals and join in as everyone so friendly. Car park just around the corner.
