Best ever

Best icecream ever and has been homemade for years. Try it with a generous dollop of clotted cream. Delicious

The other half spent his childhood holidays in Cornwall. Whenever we go down the priority is to head to Newlyn for ice cream from Jelberts. This is stunning vanilla ice cream (yes they only sell one flavour). It comes in a cup or a cone. You can have a flake or clotted cream with it or just enjoy it as... More

If you want the most amazing vanilla ice cream, hunt out this place... And forget the diet, enjoy the additional pleasure of clotted cream to finish and you will remember the taste forever😍

(I have lived here all my life, and have had this Ice cream a Bajillion times) Here's the thing. This is flavour they sell ...... Vanilla. Yep. ONE flavour... thats all.. But holy smokes is it worth it!!! Its sooo sooo good. Have it in a cone, of (like me!) IN a tub - with Cornish Clotted Cream, a wafer... More

I love Jelbert's ice cream. A visit here is on my tick list everytime I visit Penzance. My favourite is a small tub, icecream with clotted cream and a flake.

The choice is vanilla ice cream in a cone or in a tub (large or small) - added extras are clotted cream and a flake! It's worth the wait in the long queue which usually extends outside onto the pavement.

Jelbert's is a Newlyn institution on the main road from Penzance opposite the art gallery.......brilliant home made icecream straight from the bucket. Yummy. The biggest problem is parking nearby

Too be honest the ice cream used to taste much better however I've found over the past couple of years that the recipe appears to have changed where it has gone from tasting like homemade ice cream to tasting quite synthetic. Your probably wondering why I still but it? Well too be honest when in newlyn it's become the norm... More

When we lived in Newlyn it was always a sign that summer was on the way - Jelberts opening. The ice cream is amazing on its own or with clotted cream, a flake or a wafer. Don't expect a huge choice of flavours - it's vanilla, but so so good you really don't want to spoil it with flavours. Just... More

This is our first stop every time we get to Newlyn. Have been feasting on this ice cream since the 1950's. I still only have 2 large tubs with clotted cream per visit - I could eat more, but I don't want to leave a short supply for other customers. This is proper ice cream - The best you can... More
