A favourite place since childhood!!

I never visit Newlyn without making a stop here!! I love their ice cream - take all my friends when they visit - so special - if you are visiting do give them a visit and give yourself a real local treat!!! I have gone to the same outlet since I was a young girl -

Wonderful ice cream at good prices. Never pass this shop without a visit. Be prepared to queue outside the door and along the pavement in the summer. Yes, it is that good.

Ice cream heaven for locals and visitors alike. Topped off with a flake and Cornish clotted cream - the best. Added bonus of the owners daughter was Great Britain's first gold medallist at the London 2012 Olympic games.

The best ice cream anywhere and a shop not to be passed by. It can be enjoyed at any time of the day.

This really is one of the best ice creams around. When in the area I will go out of my way to get an ice-cream from here. Tourist looking this up- This is just an ice cream shop and it only dose vanilla flavor. However it is one of the best ice-creams in Cornwall.

We believe that this is probably the best ice cream you can find in the UK. One flavour, vanilla, you do not need anything else. We have visited the little shop in Newlyn every year for the last eight years and have introduced lots of other people to its wonders. Simple ice cream made to a very high standard.

Tuesday - soaked in pouring rain as we emerged from underground at Geevor, so we needed a Jelbert's ice cream; Wednesday - boiling hot after walking to Men-an-Tol, so we needed a Jelbert's ice cream; Friday - Bea, Flo and Connie scraped their legs on rocks pottering round pools at Mousehole, so we needed a Jelbert's ice cream. Wonderful to... More

I may have eaten ice-cream all over the world but you really can't beat going back to the best holiday treat in Cornwall. It has to be a large cone and cream and then back for seconds!

A lovely Cornish family business. My all time favourite ice cream, kept it simple and very reasonable.

I've been visiting Jelberts with my family ever since I can remember and it has always been and I think will forever remain my favourite ice cream. Don't expect crazy flavours or anything like that, just one simple vanilla is the sheer brilliance of Jelberts! Of course you can go the extra mile and add some clotted cream or a... More
