Simple but delicious!

The choices are simple here: vanilla ice cream - in a cone or a cup (the latter with or without a wafer) - with or without cream and/or a Cadbury's Flake. And that's the whole point! The ice cream is delicious and is definitely worth the walk from Penzance.

Jelberts of Newlyn is not a restaurant but sells the best ice-cream ever. It is a family run shop and they make their own ice-cream every day. It is really delicious and if you visit Penzance you really must pop over to Newlyn to try this ice-cream.

My husband's father used to go here as a child so we have to go there every Cornish holiday. So glad to see it is still open .And the (plain vanilla) ice cream is as good as ever

So pleased they are open again for the season. Just love to have a tub of Jelberts ice cream with Cornish clotted cream on the top and a wafer too ! Always sit by the bridge to eat it and walk along the prom after BLISS :-)

Travelled to Newlyn just because a friend had recommended the ice cream shop. Have to say the shop looks a bit tired but hey ho... Bored looking young lady served us. We looked in the fridge and saw only one flavour - vanilla - which was fine. I explained that the shop had been recommended for it's ice cream but... More

The shop may not look like much from the outside but this is the best ice cream in the area, possibly in the whole of Cornwall. Jelberts has been renowned in the area for decades. If you are in the area it is an absolute must visit. Make sure you have a tub with a dollop of clotted cream. Heavenly.

This is not a restaurant but a family who have made this delicious ice cream for many years. Well worth travelling several miles for it if you are on holiday in beautiful Cornwall.
