We decided to eat heard as i was close to our campsite and opted to go for close to opening due to the kids and thought it may be a little quieter! How wrong were we, judging by how busy and bustling it was within the first half hour of opening it was clear to see how this place has... More

In Cornwall on a family holiday and were recommended to try a meadery... and we're so glad we did!! Don't know if all meaderys are the same but this one in Newlyn was just fantastic! Myself, my husband and four children really enjoyed our chicken in the rough! Great value too for kids drinks- only 55p for an orange juice!!... More

We spent the evening with family including two small children. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food is rustic but very tasteful and there is plenty of it. The meadery like many is dimly lit which creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Great place for adults and children alike. Will definitely be visiting again.

A great spot for meeting a few mates for some healthy (not) scran! The fish is fresh and great tasting. Best on the menu is fish fries or butterfly prawns. The Newlyn Meadary has a salad bar which is great. Pile your salad plate high to compensate for the naughty deep fried treats! Make sure you try a litre of... More

After our disastrous visit to Branwells Meadery a couple of weeks ago, we attempted to regain our faith in the good old Meadery. Newlyn didn't disappoint, fantastic service ,great food and lovely friendly waitresses. This is the best.

I am sick and tired of looking through reviews of this place to find people complaining that it's dark and you have to eat with your hands! If you had done your research correctly you will find that these facts are clearly shown! I do not know of any traditional meadery that is any different. Stop moaning! I love this... More

I used to go a lot when my grown up kids were small, 20 - 25 years ago. I took my 5 year old a couple of weeks ago, nothing had changed. The food, just fine for kids, was the same (except the price had certainly changed!) and you still have to eat in the dark! It is OK for... More

Our holiday isn't complete without a visit to the Meadery. Tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere always a good night out with our friends. It was great when our children were little too as families are welcome. I like the small portion option with half chips and half salad.
