A great spot for meeting a few mates for some healthy (not) scran! The fish is fresh and great tasting. Best on the menu is fish fries or butterfly prawns. The Newlyn Meadary has a salad bar which is great. Pile your salad plate high to compensate for the naughty deep fried treats! Make sure you try a litre of... More

After our disastrous visit to Branwells Meadery a couple of weeks ago, we attempted to regain our faith in the good old Meadery. Newlyn didn't disappoint, fantastic service ,great food and lovely friendly waitresses. This is the best.

I am sick and tired of looking through reviews of this place to find people complaining that it's dark and you have to eat with your hands! If you had done your research correctly you will find that these facts are clearly shown! I do not know of any traditional meadery that is any different. Stop moaning! I love this... More

I used to go a lot when my grown up kids were small, 20 - 25 years ago. I took my 5 year old a couple of weeks ago, nothing had changed. The food, just fine for kids, was the same (except the price had certainly changed!) and you still have to eat in the dark! It is OK for... More

Our holiday isn't complete without a visit to the Meadery. Tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere always a good night out with our friends. It was great when our children were little too as families are welcome. I like the small portion option with half chips and half salad.

A firm favourite of mine for many years. Plenty of choice and choices and small, large or half and half options available. Firm favourites being chicken in the rough, garlic mushrooms, fish fries but others available to. Unfortunately we felt the salad selection was not as nice as normal on Saturday and hope this was just a blip.

The setting is great, love the way it's set out & the staff were very friendly however the meadery in Penzance is much better, Penzance portions are much larger but for the same price. Liked the salad bar here though. Don't dislike it just prefer Penzance!
