Extremely nice cuisine

An amazing chef with tons of creativity in his kitchen! You should of course go with some fish since it's catched 5m away from the restaurant... The only thing which makes it feel not that top of the notch is the "inexperienced" staff which really didnt see obvious things like an empty glass... read more

Wonderful seafood courtesy of chef Jack - the lobster (pre-ordered) was the freshest I've tasted, cooked simply with garlic and butter. We enjoyed the food so much that we booked again. The Old Cellars was relaunched as a restaurant last December and has a small well-chosen menu featuring local produce. The food is sophisticated, the ambience warm and welcoming and... More

It was a BIG birthday for me last week, and we'd also had a family event in Cadgwith, so decided to book a table for 14 at The Cellars on 6th August. What a great night! We'd pre-ordered from the menu that the lovely Sophie had promptly and efficiently emailed to me, and everything was perfect- food was served by... More

The food in this restaurant is exceptional, every course absolutely delicious. There are a wide choice of dishes available, from mouthwatering local fish to steaks, and unusual starters to delicious sauces and fantastic desserts. The service is excellent, the ambience relaxed, and I enjoyed some of the best food I have ever had.

Until now, I've never been convinced by those places that claim to have refined fish and chips to make them extraordinary. The Old Cellar's catch of the day with chips was amazing. The batter was thin but still had plenty of texture. The fish itself was perfect. I loved the chips and the slightly crushed peas were subtlety flavoured to... More

We've been visiting the Old Cellars eveyy year for over 15 years, as we visit Cadgwith every Summer. It's always been fine, if not exceptional, but this time we noticed a definite raising of standards. The service was that bit more professional and efficient, while the food was terrific, reasonably priced, & well presented. Good atmosphere, and gret location.

I have been going here for over 20 years, since I was a young child, the highlight was always the homemade doughnuts and clotted cream. We feel it is a little extreme to say The Old Cellars Cafe Bistro has gone down the pan because we don't sell doughnut cream teas any more, it is our prerogative whether we sell doughnuts or not and we don't want to! it is not the aim we are heading for and as you can see we have had... More

We stayed in the Cot cottage just up the road and ate here almost every night. The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff were so friendly and helpful.
