Great little restaurant

We noticed this place whilst walking the SW coastpath and thought we would try it one evening. After walking 2 miles to get there I felt too dressed down at first for such a lovely restaurant but we were made to feel very welcome. We had a fantastic meal. My partner opted for the pork belly and I... read more

Our faith in the local food scene has been restored after eating here. Every course was delicious and we throughly enjoyed our evening here. Will definitely be back.

We went for lunch and ordered platters which consisted of 2 tempura prawns, 1 scallop and several other rather insipid tasting items which were ok but did not warrant the cost. The bread was labelled home made but was just dry ciabatta with very little taste...shame - this place was superb last year...

We are fussy diners who have eaten in some pretty special places and we always looking for great food that is value for money. (Not to be mistaken for cheap.) The Old Cellars is a great find. The pub next door was recommended to us earlier in the week and we had been and were not impressed so but we... More

We had a lovely meal here last week. Really fresh seafood - loved the crab and pickled fennel starter in particular; good service that was prompt without being rushed or fussy; reasonably-priced wine etc. It was quite a chilly night but the little bistro was cosy and welcoming. They've a courtyard with tables too, which must be lovely on warmer... More

Ate here as a party of 5 for my daughter's birthday having booked in advance. My dover sole was perfect. My Mum's hake was gorgeous. Someone ordered a side of chips and they were the best ever! Hot and crispy. I shouldn't have but I did! Everything we ate had been prepared with loving care. Service was attentive and atmosphere... More

We hope to eat, at The Cellars this evening, for the second time in a week. During our first visit, we were extremely satisfied with delicious, freshly cooked food, which looked beautiful when served. We had never visited this restaurant before, due to less than impressive reports. The current team of staff deserve every success, particularly if they continue to... More

We'd visited this local restaurant several times in the evening but this was our first Sunday lunch and we will be back!! We both opted for the bread, olives and hummus to share for a starter and both went for the traditional roast beef Sunday lunch (there are other options if you don't want the roast). The starter was ample... More

Definitely have the fish platter or crab sandwich. Really tasty and excellent presentation. Best lunch we had in Cornwall all week. Friendly atmosphere. Sit on the benches outside if you can to watch the fishing boats coming in
