Adorable

Very cute white table cloth restaurant in a small town. It is open year round and always has langoustines on the menu. The food is excellent and service is good.

Me and my friends stopped here for lunch after a long journey to Iceland. We were warmly welcomed by this waitress who kept smiling all the time, she recommended the lobster bisque which was very good. After the bisque we got a cake which is called lava cake, absolute marvellous! The waitress recommended us some places to see in Iceland... More

This place came heavily recommended. We had the lobster menu and it started off really well with the lobster soup. A really tasty starter. Our ten year old who is allergic to gluten had smoked salmon and that went down really well. The main dish did not live up to expectations. Even though we ordered gluten free, the lobster came... We stopped here for lunch after a morning at Blue Lagoon. Cute little place next to a folk museum. There is a more casual bistro in the basement but we ate in the main restaurant which is traditionally furnished with white tablecloths. The service was very bad. There was one other couple, and yet the waitress never brought us a... More

Reasonably attractive and comfortable. Wide selection of menu options, but neither the food nor the service was as good as expected. We had the lobster appetizer, seafood soup, and a lamb entree, and all three were decent but unimpressive. In particular, the soup was a let-down, as it was basically the same soup that I had loved when I had... More

great food. Lobsters here in Iceland are smaller than Boston and larger than crawfish. But good. Molten lava cake was great too.

We happened upon Rauda Husid while driving along the south coast. What a remarkable find! We were warmly welcomed. The lobster soup was savory and not like the average bisque. The langoustines were tender and flavorful. Note that these are rock lobsters, not New England style. The roasted vegetable pasta primavera was excellent and light. The apple cake with whipped... Our group of 6 adults and 2 children had dinner here last weekend. It was busy with not only tourists but well-heeled Icelanders and our guide pointed out a movie star. The service was fine and childrens menus were offered, printed on colouring paper to keep them amused. The lobster was, sadly, disappointing with the majority of them mushy. We... More
