Lovely lobster

A very welcoming restaurant in a quiet village right on the coast. It is well off the beaten track but the food is worth the time and effort to travel here. The lobster is excellent and if you don't want seafood then they also do meat dishes. The prices are on the expensive side but then again your... read more

Fresh seafood. Lobster broth with langoustine tails was delicious and creamy perfect for the cold windy weather. Followed by a delicious langoustines tail baked with a dip. Great food accompanied with great service. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Stopped for coffee in a blizzard. Basic amenities but still very welcome. Did not eat here but food available.

Great restaurant in a small quite town. Clean and tidy and traditional Iceland, not very busy at all but this doesn't put you off as the service was excellent. Menu has great choice including vegetarian options. You'll need a car to get here unless you get a stop as part of your tour. Look for the northern lights, lava cave... More

Not worth it compared to other restaurants in nearby locations. Service was OK, but the food was below average.

My wife and I went here on the understanding that this was great seafood at a fraction of Reykjavik prices. The Langustines were exceptional, the Lobster chowder the best I have ever had and the sweets were sublime, but this was not cheaper. Would I go again, yes I would, they even bake their own bread, with dips a little... More

Lunch on our last day after searching for a satisfying meal in nearby towns was perfect. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, the waitress excellent and the food very good. The white table cloths & napkins at lunch should not deter you. The lobster soup was perfect, and everyone in our party seemed satisfied with their choices, including good coffee... More

Well, I've never tried lobster before coming to this restaurant. I thought the portions wouldn't be big since it was only a part of our Northern lights tour, but wanted to experience the whole package anyway. So we prepared for the night ahead and ate some fast food fish in Reykjavik and, oh boy, was I sorry for that. Because... More

We came here at the end of our road trip on the way back to Reykjavik. Only a 30-40 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The restaurant is part owned by an Icelander and his American wife. They were extremely friendly and hospitable! I ordered the lobster pasta dish and my boyfriend had the lobster bisque. The pasta was incredible. Perfect sauce,... More
