Food always good and wholesome, Baileys cheesecake to die for. Love going in the winter when the woodburner is on. Only comment is that maybe toilets a wee upgrade, clean but a bit dated

Hubby and I stopped here for lunch on the way up north (so glad the snow gates had just opened that day as there were great views) and both ordered the home-made steak pie - it was delicious with lots of real steak and no gristly bits. Varied menu, but would be tempted to have the same again next visit!... More

Family in Alford treated us to lunch en route to nearby Edzell. Despite the carpark being busy we had no problem in getting a table for four. The restaurant was bright, tastefully decorated and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We found all the items on the extensive menu to be favourably priced and each thoroughly enjoyed their respective selection.... More

I had often heard of the Cairn O Mount road and the Clatterin' Brig but had never been back since emigrating some fifty years ago. On our recent holiday we took advantage of the fine weather and set off. The drive from Banchory to Fettercairn is wonderful with magnificent views. At the Clatterin' Brig we had four cappuccino's, two home... More

Moved into the area not long ago and decided to explore the scenery, didn't expect to find a little cafe tucked away like this! Service was very good and very friendly, food was ok, not spellbinding but standard wraps and sandwiches, which is not a complaint, in fact as a drop in it was just right. I will be back... More

Stopped for lunch on the way to Banchory, enjoyed the soup followed by tea and cake, at a table overlooking the countryside. Warmly welcomed on arrival, order taken promptly and served just as quick. A great place to stop in the countryside.

I have not been back for many years but went recently. The location is beautiful , the place hasn't changed much from what I can remember. The coffee was good , Italian beans. We had salad and it was done almost 80s style with canned ring pineapple and some fresh raspberries . It made us smile. Luckily we like canned... More

Stopped for a quick lunch today and were not disappointed. I had a tuna wrap with salad and my husband had fish and chips. Well presented and very tasty.
