Well worth the drive!

This is probably one of mine and my wife's favourite places to visit. It is a little trek for us however well worth it and we enjoy the drive. The food is really really good with good sized portions, fresh and very reasonably priced. Also the specials are great, one time I had a toasted panini... read more

If you're looking for somewhere to eat with lovely views of the remote Scottish countryside, this is it. The views of the countryside are beautiful. The food was good - I had the lentil soup. The staff were very friendly. There's also a little gift shop next to the restaurant that has some nice souvenirs (e.g Scottish recipe books, and... More

A childhood favourite! Perfect for a relaxing Sunday drive - pop down for lovely freshly prepared food, the type granny would cook and if you have room an extensive range of lovely cakes and coffees.

The drive or walk up and down the Carn O'Mount makes you glad of this restaurant at the bottom. If you are here, please take the time to walk down to the stone Brig, and also see the timber one across the road which leads to Drumtochty. The stone one has a plaque commemorating it, the wee timber one does... More

This restaurant seems to have been there for decades as I remember going as a child over 50 years ago. Often passed when travelling over cairn o mount but never stopped. So this time went in. Ordered steak pie and game pie. Both excellent. Decor and carpets a bit tired and worn but friendly staff. Won't wait so long till... More

My first visit here but definitely not the last! Although we were only there for coffee and cake the menu is extensive! Being vegan I asked about vegan options and, although they weren't able to offer anything at that time the lovely girl who served us said that, if given advance notice, they may be able to offer some vegan... Stopped here for a coffee with two work collogues. The place was a bit cold but it had only just opened so heating hadn't had time to kick in. Had a nice coffee from a friendly member of staff.

Stopped off in this picturesque area for afternoon coffee and the place was full. Luckily the afternoon was quite warm so we opted to sit outside. We did have a bit of a wait for our order but when it arrived the waitress did offer an apology. The fruit stone with jam and dream was delicious and was accompanied by... More

Enjoyed lovely lunch, in well organised friendly restaurant, extensive menu to chose from, lush home baking, resisted the homemade millionaire cheesecake! Can't wait to go back.
