Management changed but same quality.

Giles has left, but he new management have made every effort to maintain the quality. the menu is a bit limited but very good. The quality of the food is excellent. The service is a bit iffy but this is a village pub/restaurant. In view of the quality of the restaurants in the area this has every... read more

Food did not match the price. We were unaware of the change of ownership and having visited previously we were disappointed with both the food and the ambiance. The room was cold and appeared to have lost its cosy feel. The menu choice was very limited. I had belly pork which was tough and my husband had lemon sole which... More

Since Giles departed we have been to The Raglan Arms for lunch and dinner. Our first impression was that lunch was very good, however dinner was a different matter! The menu was very limited, only 5 starters and 5 main courses, which were either pork, fish or steak. The food was ok, but the service was terribly rushed. We ordered... More

This review should have been written a long time ago. I have been going to the Raglan Arms for many years, and since moving to Cornwall 2 years ago, I have struggled to find a place to match up to it! I am very sad to hear it has changed hands again. It was always made a special place to... More

Sunday lunch. Food good, a limited menu but well presented and good value. However whilst the staff smile a lot they are not attentive. 40 minutes to wait for your dessert. Then it was wrong and the Manager wanted to argue about what had been ordered. Service needs to improve.

After a this evenings visit to The Raglan Arms which is under new management I can honesty say it nothing to its predecessor! Despite considerable internal renovation our experience was dire and even though we had booked we had to wait an hour before having our order taken. Note the new only has 5 choices for mains. The soup was... More

Took my mum out for evening dinner and was surprised that the pub had been taken over and surprised further by the evening. On arrival my first thoughts were the sofas have gone and replaced by table and chairs. Without being nostalgic I feel that is a mistake. The lighting was very bright and made for a cold atmosphere despite... More

When myself and two friends arrived at the Raglan tonight we had a warm friendly welcome. Once sat at our table we was served drinks and ordered our food from the simplistic but imaginative menu. I myself ordered the Scallops for starters, Rib eye steak for mains and I squeezed in a desert. The chocolate brownie with ice cream and... More

An absolute fantastic restaurant in a fantastic location! I have dined in many of restaurants that have been awarded rosettes and Michelin stars in my time, and I have to say the food quality is at an extremely high level. Cooked to mere perfection. I dare say the Chef here will have gained a Michelin star in the near future.... More
