I have have now had a long lunch with excellent seafood for the 5th time. The restaurant is exceptional with excellent food and first rate attention from the staff. This is the first time I have visited in winter and sitting inside the restaurant is different but still enjoyable. Well worth a visit.

Heard about this restaurant from friends who said to make sure we visited before we left the Venice area. The owner was charming and his food suggestions were great. The seafood dishes were delicious. Make sure to make reservations or you'll never get in.

What a special place! The seafood is superb; the service excellent. Get the boat from Venice and fall asleep on the way back like I did!

Although I had planned on securing reservations prior to our arrival, I attempted without response, utilizing their website online form. I had added their number to my contacts but didn't get around to calling once we arrived in Italy. Accepting that we would most likely not be dining at Gatto Nero, about which I had read so many great reviews,... More

The seafood was delicious and fresh. The waiters were annoying as they said they were booked out but weren't. They were efficient

We enjoyed a fabulous lunch here in mid-October, after having booked a reservation by email a couple of weeks before leaving home. note: Be sure and reserve- we watched many people turned away for lack of a reservation. As others have noted, your meal begins with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, a lovely way to begin what was for us... More

We tried calling to make reservations earlier but were unable to call through. Since we were reaching past 3pm for lunch we figured the lunch crowd would probably die down by then. We took our chance and tried getting a table. However the waiter was utterly rude and brushed us away saying they were full. We even offered to wait... More

Could not get us in for lunch and were rude about it. There are several other places to go on this island. I would suggest going elsewhere.
