best mean in Venice

We booked 10 days in advance on the website. The table was not ready when we arrived, but they entertained us with prosseco while we waited for the table. They were the friendliest people we found in the Venezia area. Lunch was fabulous, recommendations were accepted and truly delicious. Antipasto... read more

We have been cruising Europe for the past 4 months and never have I been so insulted! My husband and the crew were doing mechanical work on the boat so I headed out on my own. There were only 3 tables taken, I stood at reception area no one looked up. I walked over to a waiter and he said... More

Burano is a chocolate-box delight of an island. It doesn't drip with antiquity although it has been inhabited for every bit as long as neighbouring Venice. Instead, it offers a more tranquil, simpler experience of low-rise houses, all brightly coloured like an artist's pastel palate, that skirt the wide canals and walkways that frame them. The lagoon is almost always... More

We went for lunch and booked a table. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were very helpful in securing a table for us. It is a fish restaurant so do not expect meat or not much of it. The staff were extremely knowledgeable of the menu and were willing to assist with your choices. The food was well... More

First of all, IF you want to have a good diner or lunch, this is the place to go... Make a reservation! We had sea food pasta and SEA food starters and they were super fresh (try pasta vongole d pasta with crabmeat). It's a very popular place but the service level is still very high! Dit down and enjoy😊

Came to Burano for an afternoon during our stay in Venice and sought out this restaurant after it being highly recommended by our hotel. We didn't make a reservation but tried for a table anyway as it looked a picturesque canal side restaurant. Turning up around 1:00 and finding only a few tables occupied, including none outside, our expectations were... More

The restaurant came by recommended by our hotel in Venice. We wanted fresh seafood and that's what we end up getting - furthermore, it was excellent food! We shared grilled shells/ clams as appetizer and immediately regretted - because the food was so perfectly grilled and so tasty that we each wanted our own plate instead of sharing! We also... More

This "Black Cat" is one whose path you want to cross. My sons and nephew peeled off from a family trip in Venice to venture out by ferry to Burano for the famed risotto of Gatto Nero. Whether it was the enchantment of the island with its brightly colored houses, the uniqueness of the catch and salt from the local... More
