One of the top gastronomic places in Belgium

I was recommended this place by a friend, and since then I return with my wife for a romantic weekd-end now and then. The place is gorgeous, and you can stay overnight in one of the few lovely bedrooms they have (which is convenient because the place is pretty far from Brussels). We chose the Menu... read more

We happened upon this place by chance, after not being able to stay at our original stop for the night. They had one room free and we opted for a full dinner/breakfast and room package. This place has a Michelin Star and well deserves it. Our dinner was a series of tasters with wine to match. The service was impeccable,... More

Nicely converted former abbey into restaurant with 6 rooms. Top of the bill restaurant, with a chef that absolutely sticks out. Nice rooms. You will need to book well in advance if you want to stay over in the weekend.

Weekend out with friends. We went from our place to best TA rated place in the area and have not be disappointed at all. Good service, friendly, tastefull food with supprising appetizers and a perfect wine arrangement, fitting well with the offered dishes in the choosen menu. Location a bit hidden, in good Belgian tradition, and parking for improvement, bur... More

We are client in this restaurant for more than 15 years. Once or twice a year we book their "forfait gastronomique". On December 20, 2012 we again booked this ”forfait”. Nothing to say about the quality of the food BUT...... we noticed that if Vincent Cardinal is not working the quality of the service is completely different. We experienced this... More

We stayed in the 'Hostellerie' and enjoyed the menu 'Promenade gourmande', a 7-course menu and 4 'Amuse-bouches'. The menu was simply divine, combining the best ingrediends with the experience of the cheff and his staff. We had a combination of raw and baked langoustines, wild turbot, veal cheeks with foie d'oie, milk-fed lamb, cheese and 2 desserts. All cooked to... More

Solre Saint-Géry. Ever heard of it? We certainly hadn't! It's a little town in the south of the province of Hainaut in Belgium. Yes, in Belgium, and NOT in France, as Tripadvisor wrongly states. But we understand the error: the French border is at walking distance. And "little" is an understatement: a dozen houses around an (inevitable) church, hardly no... More
