A Good Dinner with bonus at the end!

We ate at the Asmara during our stay. Saw their ad in the lombok guide. Had minestrone and pumpkin soup. Main course of Mixed Seafood Asmara and wiener Schnitzel. Dessert of Fried Bananas with Vanilla ice cream. Drinks - glass of red wine, ginger tea and water. The grilled prawns were great but the... read more

Great food at this quite inexpensive restaurant. We were a bit worried about the fact we were the only diners, but were rewarded with very good quality, both for Indonesian and Western cuisine (best gnocchi ever, and I'm Italian).

This is a great place in the centre of Senggigi which does excellent German dishes and authentic Indonesian Food. The staff are cheerful, the ambiance is pretty, and the Manager is an absolute delight. A Lombok staple..

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Asmara. We actually ate twice at this lovely location, the staff were friendly & attentive. The food was wonderful. We visit Lombok often and we will be back.

Ate last Sunday night at Asmara; were shocked by the poor meal we were offered. We chose the Senggagi style rijsttafel. Both we and my son and his Indonesian girlfriend, who live in Jakarta, have eaten this meal many times in many different places in Indonesia and in Holland. What should have been an occasion to show off the chef's... More

Dear Ann, Thank you for your review. First of all, let me apologize for your bad experience. I have checked with my staff, and they confirmed the tough tuna (overcooked) and the stone :-( The waiter should have replaced these dishes immediately. You definitely didn't receive the high standard which Asmara is known for. I don't know what happened to... More

Asmara offers very nice food, and a choice of roadside tables and balcony tables. Very warm staff, reasonably priced. Can not fault this restaurant.
