If you are in Sengiggi and look for a restaurant with a clear higher standard than usual, consider to visit Restaurant Asmara. As far as I know, the owner is a german lady, but that was not the reason, we went there. Some other travelers we met recomended Asmara and we have not been disapointed. My wife had beef ragou,... This restaurant offered unique takes on familiar western favorites. I had the coconut crusted chicken one night then came back for the chicken parmesan another. Excellent food, perfect portions, and great service for a very affordable price. They even have a shuttle to take you back to your hotel.

The Indonesian specialties we had here for lunch were quite good. On our second foray for dinner a few days later we went West. The pizza and Greek salad were good, but not up to the standard of their Eastern counterparts.

Service was average, had to find somebody to seat us on arrival. Food was good, but not mind blowing

We were not even acknowledged when we got there. The service was so slow and when the food finally arrived it was very poor quality. One of the worst steaks I have ever eaten. The wine was reasonably priced though.

Food and service fantastic and if you can get a candlelit table under the vines it makes for a very romantic evening. We really enjoyed and went back several times.

Charming atmosphere, nice terrace, caring service and large menu make us enjoy our dinner in Asmara Restaurant during our stay in Senggigi. Free hotel pick-up service. Restaurant includes a gift shop (door to door) which visit is a must, plenty of island art handworks (wood, stone, clothing, etc...).

After a 17 day trip to S E Asia and many meals out in Jakarta, Lombok and Singapore, this is the restaurant that came out top for me. The food and service here were excellent and that was reflected in the fact that it was always full. They start you off with complimentary fresh warm pretzel style rolls before your... More

We ate at Asmara three times during our stay in senggigi and food and service were always excellent. It's slightly more expensive than many other places, but we found the price was justified. Their menu is also much more creative than that of most other places. Only at our first visit, we thought that the portion sizes were a little... More
