You sit down and wait for the menu on utebord close streets. Then comes a well grown woman and puts one carafe of wine 0,25 l - red and a plate lovely soup. We thought that this was starting and that we would now have menu. But no, the pleasant and smiling mature woman, came with dish after another -... More

Great moment, thanks to the food (5 to...7 dishes, wine and fresh water included) and the warm hospitality of Vivi and her mum. No menu : "it's a surpriiiise!" We did manage to get a lighter dinner once (we went twice), so it's possible. Lots of laughs, delicious food, home cooked with fresh ingredients. The best salads we had in... More

This is some of the best food I have ever tasted. Everything is perfectly seasoned and the taste is exquisite. Not just vegetarian. Everything is freshly prepared, as much as you can eat with wine for 12 Euros (2014) - amazing. After going there one night we had to go every night of our stay in Zaros. Five consecutive nights... This is an utterly charming family-run restaurant that focuses on simple, local, homely food. The food was good, and great value - an eight dish banquet (including wine) for 12 Euros! Definitely recommend.

Food was ok, but just ok. No menu. Some vegetables, , some meat, some chicken. Good home cooking. Fixed for 12 euro. Food was enough for two!

Very popular, not just veggie. Standard 12 euro menu plus a salads menu for even less. Run by two jolly ladies, menu board declares they are against war and tourist menus. Very mixed clentele

Solid Cretan cuisine. You get what Yaya has prepared, but it is darn good. Don't give it a moments thought.

This place stands out in terms of Greek eating experiences. I was initially wary because of the slightly dodgy decor (in my personal opinion) and not quite trusting of the extent of the positive reviews. But this was a wonderful place to eat and my memories will be long lived. All the other reviews have painted a true picture. Just... More

We arrived yesterday (2 people) around 2 or 3 pm. Received water, local wine and soup. Then without asking anything arrived 5 or 6 other greek dishes. It was excellent and dishes were made of fresh ingredients. After all this we received a piece of cake. All this royal meal for 24€ for 2. I recommend this nice expérience. We... More
