Very nice ladies, great food (they just bring it when you sit down). Definitely worth a visit. Many small dishes, wine and water, soup, desert included for just 12 euro per person!

The first evening we wanted to eat at Vegera we arrived just before eight, and the placewas already full, so the next evening we arrived at seven, to be the first guests of the evening. There is no menu, and when I asked (I speak Greek) what we would get, the lady answered 'just wait and see, you'll get a... More

Farm fresh food, no freezer, no microwave. The family owns the farm that the food comes from. There is no menu - you eat what you get which is delicious, fresh and healthy. Feels like home and the owner and her family are a delight.

We visited this place every evening of our stay in Zaros. The first day we didn't know about the system and were surprised about the variety and most of all the superb taste of all the dishes. The second day we were all day long, through our hike trough the Rouvas gorge, thinking about what great dinner was waiting for... More

Run by the same family who run the Hotel Keramos, Vegera has fresh food from the family farm, a happy vibe and warm atmosphere, and is a good value as well. There is no menu. For 12 euros, food starts to appear from the kitchen and just when you think you might be done, something else wonderful is delivered to... More

There is no choice, but the food is excellent and varied. Generous portions of typically Cretan dishes. Exceptional value for money.

I agree with the commentators who gave 5 points. There is no menu to choose from. For 12 € you get 2 starters, a maindish consisting of 3 different dishes according to the season, a desert, water, 0,25 ltr. of wine and coffee. Even the voracious gourmet gets his fairly share. We had a very tasty lowfat meal : Fava,... More

This place is a beautifully welcoming friendly restaurant. The owners don't seem to speak a lot of English and as other reviewers have said, we didn't get a menu. We just got a 3 course meal of soup, then a mix of meat and vegetable dishes, and then a dessert. We were given water, white wine and a coffee with... More

A relaxed dining experience - no menus, they just bring out a variety of traditional cretan dishes - all delicious! The sauces in particular are very tasty. Generous portions, you will not leave hungry :)
