It's a lot of money with not great quality. Typical tourist pace I suppose but disappointing. Staff friendly and very close to the beach.

On our first visit to Polzeath we happened upon Surfside.. We were welcomed with wet dog in toe and fed delicious food , great beer and good coffee.. Good vibe and a chilled atmosphere .. Only down side is we went home the next day so couldn't go back ! We will revisit next Easter though !

We visited for a pre-booked family lunch - there were a lot of us, on the first Sunday of the October half term. Glad we booked and ordered ahead, as it was very busy. We found the food to be well presented and delicious, the service was excellent - and we will all be back.

We visited for a Sunday afternoon snack after having enjoyed a meal in the summer. The hollandaise was more like cream coloured dish water. Not like any hollandaise I've ever tasted. The staff were rude and when questioned why the hollandaise wasn't the same as in the summer we were told "we have a new chef". We were given a... More

Thank you for signing up to Tripadvisor especially to write a review on us, I see it's the first review you've written. Firstly, i'm sorry that you felt the hollandaise you ordered resembled dishwater - I can assure you that it certainly was not dishwater! I was there on the day you visited and spoke to one of your group,... More

Access only via the beach, a really limited menu, not especially cheap and a bit basic - shouldn't really work and yet it does, totally. If you want great steak (the rump is better than the fillet), fresh, well cooked lobster combined with simple salads and chips, this is definitely worth a visit. Crab salad also excellent. It's all a... More

Spending a week in Cornwall with my parents and toddler. We've been here two days in a row for lunch. The double cooked chips are gorgeous. Working our way thru the menu (we will be going back before we go home!) Beautiful setting and sat outside where your practically on the beach. Lovely staff, great atmosphere. A little pricey perhaps,... More

Booked via their facebook page and got an instant response for booking a table for 5. A warm friendly welcome and quickly seated, drinks order promptly taken whilst we looked over the menu. We all had the burgers and they were amazing and so were the double dipped chips!! Great service, lovely atmosphere and well priced. See you again for... More

Brilliant place. Loved the Surf & Turf but great for a drink too. Relaxed friendly atmosphere and the best view for watching the sunset. BUT - if you go at night take a torch.

Amazing location, really relaxed - we came straight off the beach from a surf and changed outside the restaurant. really good food and fantastic cocktails. the chips were awesome. chilli choc mousse had way to much chilli, but thats all. fantastic evening.

We visited lunchtime because everywhere else was busy. The food was adequate but extremely pricey. Could not believe the cost of a small lemonade and my husband queried the double expresso which only looked like a single one. Service was good but not many people in there. Toilet not working either so instead of staying longer we decided to leave... More
