Service has improved although in the past has been very slow indeed. We visit Polzeath often but generally avoid The Waterfront because of past poor experience.

Last night of holiday meal. Limited menu but all cooked well and tasted great and what could be better than over looking our favourite beach and watching the sunset. It would have been romantic had we not have had the kids with us...........

After a quiet day in Polzeath, my sister and I decided to make the most of the lovely weather and go for lunch at the Waterfront restaurant. We were sat down, with a lovely view of the beach and that's really the best part of our experience. After ordering our Seafood and Chorizo pizzas, we waited and waited and waited.... More

Every year we come to Polzeath and visit the Waterfront several times - sometimes for drinks - sometimes for dinners - this year we visited late morning in the middle the school holidays - it was relatively empty but we waited a loooooong time to be served. After taking our orders the waiter returned to advise there was no 'Ratlers'... More

Thank you to Naomi for the organisation and planning to support our wedding ceremony and celebration meal we enjoyed at The Waterfront last week. The conservatory and beach hut were perfect for our small party and Naomi and the team looked after us so well. The food for all courses was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed but professional. We had... More

There's no obvious pub in Polzeath (we looked) and the town is completely dominated by the surfing community. This has a commanding spot on the front and a large balcony on which to sit and eat great value meals and drink the only real ale we could find. Staff are friendly if a little rushed and I didn't care for... More

We stayed in Polzeth June 2015, We ate in several restaurants, including Outlaws in Rock. We only went back to the Waterfront. The view at sunset is awesome. The Bass with a fennel beurre blanc was one of the best tasting fish dishes I have ever had. (Sorry Nathan, Rick).

With the view from the terrace over Polzeath beach this restaurant has a stunning location. Fabulous place to sit outside on a warm evening and watch the sun go down. Not such a good place to eat a meal on a chilly October evening! Service was ok if a bit haphazard but the food was mostly mediocre. Tough steak, over-cooked... More

Although sitting outside on the balcony for lunch in the lovely warm October sun, i expected my food to be served hot, not lukewarm warm (I accepted that it may have cooled quickly) Staff not really that interested and could only manage to put my daughters soup (back?) into the microwave. More effort required.

Fabulous location. Surly service. Average food (apart from the fish which was great). Dirty toilets. Didn't stay for dessert
