Very good and worth a visit

Found this one cold night in December. Difficult to tell if it was open or not but once inside we were met by friendly staff. My husband and I are spending a couple of weeks in Olonzac and decided to try this restaurant even though some of the reviews have been a little iffy. The outdoor area was closed as it is getting quite cool in the evenings so we ate inside. We both very much enjoyed our meals. We both ordered off the 23€... More

Went here for lunch on market day. Family-run and charming. Beautiful courtyard with very stylish table cloths! Food fresh and delicious and extremely reasonably priced. Really do not know how they do it. Why can't we have places like this in England!

The longest established restaurant in Olonzac, Claire and Pierre Vilchez know their trade and their market. We eat here mainly for special occasions, or if we feel like a change from our other choices. The patio garden is a particularly nice spot, and whilst the restaurant decor does not please some, I do not find it displeasing, but perhaps a... More

I am deeply disappointed by my meal here this evening. I hate to complain and so the only plus to this meal was that the starters were very nice and impressive portions. However, the 'fillet' beef was awful. It was very chewy and not pleasant to eat. When we complained about the food, the owner became very aggressive. She informed... More

This is a nice restaurant in a great town. Quite cheap, decent food, nice local wine, nothing to change your life but certainly a good place to eat. Quite wish there was a tripadvisor option between very good and average for this one. I went with very good because average seemed a little harsh - although, for me, for what... More

Below average meal we had in the area. The food was tasteless and the quality of meat and fish we ate there was poor. The beef was tough and elasticity and the fish had lot of bones and could not eat. We will never return to le Bel.

Have been here 4 times in the last 6 years, it seems to be the same menu every year. Tonight we had the €40.00 menu, same old melon amuse bouche, a very good 3 way fois gras, then a good veal chop with lovely cauliflower, but with a semi cooked potato, a fig, 1/2 an apple ,tomatoes and salad! It was... More
