Fantastic view and a great location. Great surroundings, but that is it. We had a cocktail outside while they prepared our lobsters. Perfect sitting out while the food were made. When we were told to get seated we were served ca 100 grams of lobster though the menu said 400. The wine and the water came after we had finished... More

We ordered "The Rock Special", which is for 2 people and it was great. As a starter we ordered the fish tartar and it was also superb! The viws are extraordinary. You should have lunch there when the tide is high because it is so much more beautifull than when the tide is low. The restaurant also has a spacious... More

Overall a great experience, highly recommend sitting outside before it gets dark to have a drink. Great service and reasonably priced nice wine. However, the starters were $17, which was the same price as some of the main courses! Food was ok, but for the price I expected better food and more choice. Lovely evening but slightly disappointed by food.

The best sea food on offer. The restaurant is situated in an island within an island. Awesome experience!

A 10km taxi trip to restaurant was most rewarding .A quaint little Rock sticking out of the bay greeted us. Our group of 10 , were taken across the water in a little boat to the restaurant rock. It is very small and only sat 10 tables , but also had a little outside area with lovely views of the... More

wow! The most surreal experience ever! This place isn't really about the food ( which is decent ) but it's really about the place and the unbelievable view. A must visit for couples specially. Was a little far from our hotel but totally worth the drive !

We wanted to celebrate our anniversary, so we treated ourselves with a dinner at The Rock. It was definitely worth it:) thought it would be presumptuous, but not at all. Very simple, cute African decoration, great balcony with a very nice sea view. I recommend you come around 5-6 pm so you see the place during the day, watch the... More

Went there for a lunch. Is certainly one of the best locations in Zanzibar. Try to visit for lunch or for drinks before the sun goes down. You can get a bit wet with the traditional boat if there are waves in order to go there but certainly worth it. Food is not bad and prices a bit more than... More
