Almost didn't eat here

We asked at our resort (Grand Mayan) for a recommendation for dinner. This was one of the places as it was suggested to be close to the resort. I thought about it and there didn't seem to be anything that looked appetizing that close so I declined and decided to go a little further. The other place... read more

Close to Vidante Resort (Grand Mayan), easy walking distance, fantastic food! We had the baby red snapper with rice and vegetables. More than we could eat. The guacamole was delicious. Good atmosphere. Only thing we don't like is the push by a very friendly woman for a visit to property with promise of $$$, massage, etc. She came and visited... More

Okay... Claudio's was recommended by our taxi driver, Antonio on our way to our resort as being an authentic mexican restaurant with no americans. Well we got to the place at around 3 for a late lunch and no body was eating. Place empty. The walls and ceilings surround you with 1990s and 80s sports/school banners to make you feel... More

We have stopped here every time we are in puerto Vallarta. Great food sea food and traditional Mexican dishes. Services is excellent food is great and the price is right. Staff and owner very friendly. You will feel like family. I understand if you are a fisherman. He will cook you fish for you. This is a place our Mexican... More

Close to Mayan Resort. Good food. Music a bit too loud. Large restaurant. Family dining. Prices reasonable. The manager wanted to sign us up for some tours as we were leaving; everybody's selling something in Mexico!

We have driven by Claudio's Place dozens of times over the years but have never came here until this year. I did not dig the atmosphere, I don't know how to explain it but it was just not happening for me..it felt a little off. The food and drinks were good. Flavorful and tasty.

The greetings were genuine, the drinks and food just fine but after a such a good evening it got spoiled by the arrival of a lousy dessert in the form of a time share salesman who obviously operates with managements permission. Well the dessert was so of-putting that the party of 10 that I headed will not return. Claudio (if... More

Lovely service but veers too far into pushy, hokey tourist trap. We ate here late Feb 2015, mistakenly thinking this was another restaurant that we had been to five years before. BEST Mexican combo was very good Deluxe margaritas (special of the house) were great, but also too pricey for what we got CND$10 ISSUES One of the male staff... More

Our party of four (plus infant) made Claudio's an early pick based on our positive experience four years ago. Somehow the place has 'shrunk' in terms of both size and vibe. It just wasn't as fun this time around. No music. Food was competently prepared but no standouts. We tried Fajita Republic a few nights later and had a blast... More

Lots of good local cuisine at Claudio's. Tuesday is shrimp night. Friendly owner and wait staff. Try the baby red snapper, tequila shrimp or fajitas. You can't go wrong.
