Description: This is a wonderful women-owned restaurant on the main street of Caldera...
This is a wonderful women-owned restaurant on the main street of Caldera, Panama (on the way to the Hot Springs). The owner, Maricela Miranda, is a warm and engaging person who makes you feel so welcome in her open air palapa restaurant. Her fare includes "comidas tipicas y ordenes especiales" such as chicken and rice with mushrooms, etc. There are very few good local places to eat in Caldera and we found this wonderful spot simply by accident. She was a very gracious hostess and we would definitely recommend her restaurant to anyone traveling in the Boquete and Caldera, Panama areas. There is no sign other than "Restaurant" hand-written in front of the giant Palapa dining room. The telephone number is Panama, 6462-9245. I hope that you will consider this review from a total tourist that was thrilled to find her place and meet her.

That's the only way you will find this open air palapas restaurant owned by one of the nicest... read more
