We found this pub by accident travelling to Woolacombe for the weekend. We were greeted like locals and this we liked. We said we would like to eat outside as it was a lovely hot day, there we were given menus. We chose what to eat and as I had broke my arm asked if the chef could cut it... More

Mason's Arms was selected by our children for a surprise birthday present to my husband. What a delicious & enjoyable choice! We were warmly welcomed by Sarah, chef's delightful wife & nothing was too much trouble for her or her staff. All courses were superb and presented at a perfect, unhurried pace. The Michelin star is well deserved and the... More

Like other reviewers we too came across this great lunch experience by chance and enjoyed a friendly welcome & fabulous food in a great setting. Will plan ahead better next time as we will definitely return and won't want to leave disappointed.

We visited the Mason's Arms again last week. I really cannot fault the menu, at £20 for 2 courses or £25 for 3 it is unbeatable value. I had the duck starter which is really good and by the way the bread rolls are delicious. My main course was pork fillet followed by berry brulee, It really is good food,well... More

We had the set Sunday lunch menu at the Mason's Arms, it was good but not outstanding. I have eaten in quite a few Michelin starred places, particularly in France, and this was a nice relaxed lunch with posh food in comparison. All the food was good, apart from my fish main which had a sour taste and left me... More

There was nothing that was not outstanding on this visit to Knowstone! From the moment we entered the door, we were welcomed as if seasoned locals in the characterful entrance to this pub. It was a summer's evening and drinks in the garden overlooking the lovely country valley followed. Drinks were accompanied by a lovely addition of duck rilettes, olives... More

This is a pretty village restaurant/pub full of character. I have nothing to say but praise. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. My husband and I were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and when the coffees arrived with the some home made sweets they had even taken the time to write ”congratulations” in chocolate on the... Five of us ate here for a birthday. It's one of the few Michelin starred eateries in Devon and we had not been before. The pub is quite easy to find just of the North Devon Link road. There's not much parking, but the villagers seem tolerant and don't seem to mind people parking in the street. It's a genuine... More

We went there today for food and were not let down. All three courses exquisite. Beautiful weather. We sat in the garden, all service was good. Faultless!

We enjoyed our lunch at the Mason's Arms. We were welcomed by the hosts who were very friendly and eager to serve us drinks while we waited for the table. The dining room was pretty and intimate. Some thoughts on the food.... Not to be picky, but the bread served was quite tasteless and disappointing. We all took the set... More
